QUESTIONS MEME

THE QUESTIONS MEME
A first big 'n successful round of apps has concluded and the game is getting off to a roll - since there are always brains to be picked and new pals and acquaintances to be made, how's about we all play a little getting-to-know-you game?
HOW TO PLAY:
• Leave a comment below with your name and the characters who you play.
• Respond to others' comments with questions - they can be about their characters, their current in-game plans or things they'd like to play, their CR, RP in general, their canons and fandoms, or most anything else.
• Answer questions you've received! Keep it short or TL;DR to your heart's content, depending on how much you have or are in the mood to say!
• After each answer you give, ask a question back to the person who answered you. Keep the thread of questioning up for as long as both parties are game!
• Go for it - make friends, make new plans, make anything you like!

Koree
It's me, with Ziva (FFXIV, WoL OC) and Serah Farron (FFXIII-2)! Serah hasn't debuted just yet but feel free to hit me with questions anyway. :)

What's your dream CR with Serah or Ziva if you could have them interact with anyone in particular?

I was a 90's kid, so growing up one thing our family used to do was visit the video store every couple weeks. My brother and I were each allowed to pick one or two things to rent. I don't remember what I'd gone in looking for but I remember it was already checked out, so I wound up picking up FFIX instead. I remember the artwork jumping out at me, and the guy on the front had a tail like a cat how could I not? Funnily enough I'd never played a JRPG before that, so yeah. LOL I was hooked.
What drew me in was the characters. Even the characters I thought were going to be annoying and boring turned out to have really fascinating and compelling arcs. I wanted to figure out what Vivi was, and why Zidane had a tail, and what was behind Dagger's need to run away from home.
I'll admit that not a lot of the FF titles since have grabbed me, not the way that 9 did, but every once in a while I still come across a game that sucks me in completely enough with the characters and story that I just get full on invested. FF14 is also my first MMO, so I've really enjoyed having an ongoing story that my customized character gets to be a part of. I can't really put into words how good and gratifying it feels!
2/3 (SORRY I LIED these are getting long)
Of characters that are currently in the game, that's hard, there are legitimately so many I want CR with in general. I guess, though, for Serah it would probably be a toss up between Alisaie (ff14), Allura (Voltron), and Keith (Voltron).
Alisaie because they're both strong willed sword wielders who've had to live in the shadows of more infamous, sometimes more talented siblings and their overpowered friend(s). They both are thrust into situations where they have to shape up to keep pace and I just find those similarities fascinating! I'd love the chance to write them teaming up for combat at some point, as I feel that their fighting styles would mesh really well, and I think that an interesting and maybe heartwarming friendship could develop from it, as well. Mind you, this is all just my opinion/my thoughts, and I could be totally wrong. You never know, with RP!
Allura because she's just such a strong female character to me, and again, I think that there could be a really fun friendship dynamic there between the two women. They're both women who very strongly follow their hearts, but I find them both to be the types that are hilariously no-nonsense when crossed. I just think there'd be a lot of fun interactions to write out, especially if writing them together with other characters, too.
With Keith it's really just kind of a gut feeling. The CR could be positive or it could very well be negative depending entirely on circumstances like how they'd meet and what would be happening at the time, but this is another one where I'd love to write the two of them together in some combat scenarios. I think they'd make a pretty damn good team, and as an FF player I LIVE for a good, satisfying action sequence.

For her, then, it's not so much a "who" as a "what" I guess. Anyone that can just have relateable interactions with her is peak goal for me, honestly. WoL's are so often set apart from everyone else in their world that just getting to write them interacting with people who don't do that is a great feeling. IDK if that really makes much sense, but there you go!
IT IS OKAAY
Also the answer for Ziva makes perfect sense! I've never really played an OC that way, but I did make a sort of AU OC for a character in a Persona game and just having her interact with characters both from her fandom and out of the fandom was like "I love this so much."

Kingdom Hearts--Final Fantasy IX! It's the one that got me hooked into the series and it's legitimately the game that I find myself measuring all other (fantasy specifically) JRPG's up against, or RPG's in general where applicable.
My favorite character is definitely Zidane, which maybe is a little cliche, but I enjoyed his character arc the most. He matures so much over the course of the game, but stays this fun loving scamp, and I friggin' love him. Also Blank, best supporting character, period.
Game play wise, however, that title goes to Eiko hands down. She saved my ass at the 11th hour with a surprise Phoenix summon while facing Necron. She's the reason I was able to beat the game (on maybe like, the 7th attempt of that fight but still). For young Koree who didn't even know that was a possible thing it immediately elevated her to Absolute Badass status.

(Was I the only one shipping Bea and Steiner really hard by the end? THIS QUESTION IS IMPORTANT)

(and why is it totorak)in FFXIV?If Serah went to visit Eorzea, what class do you think she would be? I love AU'ing FF characters into FFXIV (I have a Rosa AU I'm super attached to myself) so I'm curious to hear what others might do for their own characters (。ˇ艸ˇ)

Aurum Veil. Always Aurum Veil. F*** THAT PLACE.Least favorite: The Great Gubal Library: Normal Mode.
And my favorite is The Great Gubal Library: Hard Mode. HOW'S THAT for a total turn around? 😂 I loved getting to explore the other floors and the music remix was A+. Close second would definitely be Antitower, because I enjoyed the music there, the final leg reminded me of FFIX, the final boss fight freaked me the f*** out (I was healing at the time), AND I got to run it blind with a brand new group on patch day. I just didn't love the whole thing like GGHM, so it's not my favorite!

That's fair. What an interesting turn around for sure. The remix is pretty snazzy though so I can't blame you.
If I had got this answer yesterday, I would have been surprised with the least favorite choice BUT TODAY I FOUND OUT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS THAT YOU CAN GET TRAPPED IN THE DEMON BOOK'S SPINE which seems like a huge oversight (≖ᴗ≖✿) Did I wipe in a dungeon I've run for the last few years because of a stupid thing like that yes yes I did.
Running dungeons blind can be a lot of fun. I'm glad you were able to do that! Do you still manage to keep up with that or is it harder these days?

Bonus
I love making AU's for FFXIV and I actually have a bunch of my characters that I've "ported" over if you ever wanna talk shop! \o

She looks super cute and would really rock dancer, I bet!! The Au Ra scales really shine when there's less clothing on too so I bet the whole look will turn out great with that dancer AF they showed off.
And definitely feel up to gushing about it. AU's are fun! \m/
