CW: Contains potential body horror in Prompt D.

You awaken amidst the darkness with only a faint light to greet you. Your body is hemmed in by shards of crystals, gently sparkling and possibly pricking your skin. The surrounding landscape is dyed in the pinks and purples of the dusk filled with crystals protruding from the ground, some as large as a skyscraper. After an hour or two of wandering through the crystal wilderness, a group of people find you worse for wear. They are the gallant Moon Knights from the planet of Prismatica. Because of the strange phenomena during the past months when scientists observed the sudden appearance of rainbow crystals in the sky, the government has been feverishly combing through the moon for more Moonblessed to be rescued. You’ll eventually be brought into Iris’s moon government center.

You all may have your usual inquiries — Where are we? Who are you? What's going on? — and the Prismals are almost too eager to answer. They tell you about their world and about the first appearance of the Moonblessed as the medical staff give you an examination to make sure you’re not carrying any viruses or biological hazards. If you react violently, you may be restrained and nerfed with a specialized neurotransmitting gun that releases a numbing agent through the top of your spine. Once the examinations are over, you’re informed that you will be provided accommodations on their planet during your stay. You will then be escorted to the docks, and led onto a large transport vessel that makes frequent trips back and forth between the Iris moon and the planet. Faces onboard vary from both old and new Moonblessed as well as the local Prismals.

Iris Moon, Government Center (Arrival) and Planet Prismatica, City of Lunatia | top

Welcome to Prismatica’s hub, Lunatia, the city of your dreams! A bustling metropolis lush with bright lights, vibrant colors, luxuriant plant life, and all the conveniences of technology absent from your own world… It seems like paradise to all the uninitiated. After a quick tour of the city, new arrivals can find themselves getting cozy in their new homes.

A Settle in your new home at Level 2 to find new roommates and say hello to your neighbors! City officials will give you directions to the designated districts across Level 2 and instruct you to pick out a unit. Each apartment complex has a different aesthetic, some may look cozy, some stylish, and some bizarre. The free accommodations have a basic living space that can only fit two or three people at most in one unit.

Starter Chromaspace furnishings are provided which can be controlled with the touch of a built-in panel. Examples are color-changing curtains, transforming sofa beds, cabinets turning into tables, etc. Customizing your apartment or moving out will have to wait until you earn more chroma. Until then, why don’t you check out your new neighborhood or explore the city levels? Maybe your new roommates or neighbors can give you a “hand” with allowance for dinner.

▶ My Anaconda Don’t-
Inari Highway, Amegahara | top

As promised by Lord Bairen, the leader of Amegahara, the route between the cities of Amegahara and Lunatia has been completed. The Inari Highway will improve both travel time and security, letting the Moon Knights deal with any potential threats in a more efficient manner. With the Oracles of the Sinless having cropped up a second time last month, the timing of its completion couldn’t have been more perfect.

Shortly after the Inari Highway’s opening, the Moonblessed are invited to come. Using the highway, attending Moonblessed can quickly and securely traverse the Nothing to personally witness the impact of their Chroma through their stay so far on Prismatica.

Upon entering the glass tunnels of Inari Highway, the glass first displays images of the Nothing before the Moonblessed’s arrival. It was entirely bereft of any life, and only gigantic monsters roamed the barren land. Then the images on the glass walls vanish to reveal the sudden miraculous growth of plant life, astonishing the entire planet.

Scientists at Amegahara have been hard at work testing the Nothing’s capacity to support life. They have determined that a constant and heavy flow of Chroma is required to maintain the baby ecosystem in the Nothing. Otherwise, the existing plant and animal life will die before reaching full growth. The Moonblessed are encouraged to support this endeavor.

B At the greenhouses across Inari Highway, you will find multiple rows of wildflower sprouts and small trees planted near solar panels. In order to help them grow quicker, veteran Moonblessed already know what to do. And if they don’t, Prismals have stitched together some floral “Get Along” t-shirts for this very purpose. These shirts can fit up to two people inside them, making moonlacing practically unavoidable. Everyone will be rewarded trying these out, as the shirts have a built-in feature that amplifies the release of Chroma.

Other activities that can be performed to aid the plants include measuring chemical quantities in the soil, trimming dying leaves and petals, pulling weeds, chasing away bugs, and watering the plants using the Anaconda 5000.

The Anaconda 5000 was created with the same state-of-the-art technology as everyone’s favorite Raging Hydra 5000. This thick and heavy talking snakehead device requires a little love and tenderness to get it started. It will not be shy in giving instructions. The user must vigorously caress its sides to make it spew water. The more firm and powerful the touch, the more water it will release everywhere. However, should you and your friends go overboard with your ministrations, the Anaconda 5000 will promptly explode and set off sprinklers, drenching everyone in the greenhouse, which is bad news for them unless they want a wet t-shirt party.

▶ Beez in the Trap
Amegahara and Lunatia | top

With all the new flowers blooming at the edge of the Nothing, pollen is in the air, attracting a rare type of insect known as the Viscosus Bee. Huge honeycombs will start appearing around both Amegahara and Lunatia, their size and numbers growing rapidly by the hour. The cities will be abuzz about these bees — literally!

A public advisory by the Lunar Scientiae appears: please exercise extreme caution when walking by open spaces, especially around parks, farms, gardens, and anywhere else that has flowers. Better check that nice bouquet of yours before giving it to someone. Chances are that you’ll meet the bees right in their trap!

C Lots of bees means lots of honey. Giant globules of the sticky stuff drip and fall on innocent bystanders, practically gluing them together. Unbeknownst to many, the Viscosus Bee is known for producing the stickiest kind of honey across the galaxy. It will take more than nail polish remover to pry yourselves off each other! Thankfully, there is a special type of lubricant that can help those who are trapped — one that local news stations will tell you repeatedly to stock up on. Local pleasure emporiums will be selling this “Slippery When Wet” brand of lubricant at an affordable price. What you lose in dignity purchasing it, you gain in helping yourself and maybe a new friend.

▶ Flower Power
Amegahara and Lunatia | top

As the weeks pass, you may notice some strange gradient discoloration on the tips of your fingers, and your veins (or wires) have gradually turned green. It’s certainly a peculiar affliction. Even stranger, a light touch like simply brushing against another’s shoulder will discolor parts of their body as well.

All becomes clear when three moons finally appear: everyone affected will not transform according to their usual Moonblessing. Instead, you find vines and leaves growing along your body. Flowers sprout from open cuts, between your lips, out of your eyes, through any available orifice on your body, or in place of certain limbs. You are not too different from a walking plant.

D Your emotions towards others will also cause certain flowers to spontaneously burst out of you as soon as you exchange words with them. What do these flowers mean? Well, if you ask the Amegaharans nicely, they may give you a few guides to let you know, or you can check your local library.

Otherwise, you will be left to try and guess on your own as your body slowly germinates itself in front of others. This effect will naturally wear off once the three moons disappear.

Scientists at Amegahara will later postulate that the phenomenon originated from some of the intense cross-breeding of the plants in their greenhouses, which had released unconventional spores that had attached themselves to the Moonblessed and spread about.

However, they will assure you it’s nothing to be alarmed about. Just another hiccup in the name of science! The effects will be completely gone soon.

_{[ Despite being here for— what— almost half a year now, Inosuke has inherited a few outfits, but he typically sticks to his dated hakama pants and the signature boar's head to conceal his hyper feminine face and that's.. about it.

Milly is talking to him while he's in the middle of doing something really important which is.. repeatedly headbutting a wall. He's instantly aggravated that he's been interrupted by this endeavor and turns his head to look at Milly, those lifeless, dead boar eyes.. kind of looking at her. ]}

It's pretty good. It's a sandwich with bacon, lettuce, tomato... so BLT! I'm guessing you don't know where one is, then.

[any sort of trepidation is quickly replaced with irritation at the new name she's been given, but best not to push it too far. if he can headbutt a hole in a wall, he can headbutt a hole in her. not the greatest way to start day one, for sure.]

Well, food is a way to make friends, don't you think? Once you share a meal with someone, you have a new bond! I thought a good meal and... good company would be a nice way to mark my arrival here.

What does bacon feel like? [good question! she hums as she thinks about it, tapping her chin idly.] Well, sometimes it's crispy, sometimes it's a bit more chewy... Usually it's very greasy, but it's always good! Are you someone who doesn't like certain food textures?

_{[ Inosuke presses one finger to that little pig snout of his, rolling up on the balls of his feet to be equal with her height. ]}

_{[ They're outside, now, and Inosuke is grumbling. Something about being mad about bacon being both crispy and chewy. He kneels on one knee and spreads his arms apart, fingers splaying open. ]}

_{[ is.. is he powering up??? over bacon??
Steam radiates off of his body and puffs out of his nostrils again and after a long moment of humming, he breaks all concentration and perks up, pointing right. ]}

H'OH. I FOUND IT. A CRISPY FEELING.
C'MON.

[she would take offense and vocalise that to literally anyone else, but she's a little hesitant to do that with him. besides, his focus is on the bacon, not her. anything she says will bounce right off of him, and possibly bounce right into her face. so it's best to just let him do... whatever it is he's doing.

but he's steaming, and there's something about seven?! forms, and that's very new to her, but she says nothing, just waits for him to stop cooking himself on forms one through six, eyes wide as she presses her lips together. maybe it's best he refused her as his queen.

when he announces he's found the bacon, she jumps a little, having been pulled out of spacing out, and lets out a little yelp. is the blt really worth all of this...] A crispy feeling? What about a sandwich shop feeling? That one might work too! [nevertheless, she's going to follow him right, even if she's not convinced that he will actually lead her to a sandwich.]

A SANDWICH SHOP DOESN'T GIVE OFF VIBRATIONS.

_{[ Inosuke just stares at Milly with, well, that expressionless boar head looking at her, but he makes it sound like she should know this even though his power is weird and he hadn't even bothered to say what he was doing. ]}

THE CRUNCH.. I CAN SENSE IT. SOMEBODY IS EATING BACON!!

_{[ With that, he sprints off, expecting Milly to follow. If she isn't as fast as him, he will slow down, preoccupying himself by parkouring off of things or waiting for her in a crouch position. She'll see that they are heading towards restaurants but something else she'll notice is the fact his energy lessens the more and more he gets closer to busier parts of the city; crowded parts with a lot of people. In fact, Inosuke has slowed down until he's by her side and walking with what seems to be hesitance.

Without asking, a hand reaches out and grips the tail end of her blouse and it seems to be knuckle tight, but he keeps walking, muttering incoherently under his mask. ]}

[oh, of COURSE a sandwich shop doesn't give off vibrations! how could she be such a fool! milly rolls her eyes, but says nothing more, knowing that she'll look like even more of an idiot if she asks any more questions. she has so many more, though, and her curiosity is killing her. how can he sense the crunch? how does he know what bacon feels like when he's never had it? and what's with the boar head? (that seems like a very personal question, though, and she's not willing to be headbutted for it.)

milly is not nearly as fast as him, jogging behind him to the best of her ability, huffing as she tries to catch up to him, but he's just so damn quick! and he's jumping off of things! showoff. eventually, she's got him within reach and still keeps a decent speed, until she realises he's the one slowing down, and she's eventually in front of him. is such a brash personality showing shyness? how odd. but there are more people, possibly more vibrations that are messing with him. is that what's happening?

the hand on the back of her shirt gets her to raise her eyebrows, and even though he's still walking, she isn't, and her hands go to take his, gently, and she leans down to try to peer beyond the glassy eyes of the mask.] Are you... okay? We can take a different route, if you want. I won't mind the scenic way!

_{[ It's a bit over stimulating. The sounds. The people. The vibrations they send in the air. Inosuke doesn't mind his hand being held and he even grips back, seeming shy when she tries to look at him in the face and turns away. ]}

A..A..aa. No. WE ARE CLOSE, SO NO, I MUST BE STRONG.

_{[ As he continues to walk, he finally reaches the a cafe. Lo and behold, there's a man sitting outside eating a BLT. When he lifts the sandwich to bite, it makes a distinctive crunch. Instantly, Inosuke goes on high alert when this happens and releases Milly. ]}

OI, MAGGOT. THIS IS LILY ASSBIRD, MY NEW MINION. SHE DESERVES A BLT. GIVE IT TO HER, FOOL, OR I'LL KILL YOU.

_{[ He breaks away from Milly to march up to this poor man eating his sandwich, cracking his knuckles. ]}

[for a second, she feels like she actually likes him, admiring the moment of vulnerability paired with resolve, but that's very quickly dashed when he approaches the unfortunate sandwich man, and she's forced to do damage control. she's right behind inosuke, keeping pace with him until he stops, grabbing onto his shoulders as she give the cafe patron an apologetic smile.]

Hi, sir, I'm Milly Ashford, his friend [???], and he definitely will not kill you for your BLT because we're going to order one ourselves! Isn't that right, Inosuke?

[pleasepleaseplease say yes so no one gets arrested on her first day in lunatia...]

_{[ Inosuke barks, looking up at Milly. He gestures to the man's sandwich. ]}

That's mine, and then it's gonna be your's.

_{[ He tries to break away from her hold and if he's able to, he'll perch his foot up on the man's table and get in his space. ]}

[oh good lord.

he's out of her hands now, literally and figuratively, and all she can do is sigh, trying to formulate a plan to save at least one of them from trouble. right now, she's 0 for 3...

there's an attempt to put herself in between inosuke and the poor cafe patron, but that just ends with her in the man's lap, giving him a very apologetic smile.]

Can't we just have fresh ones? I really don't want his half eaten BLT!

_{[ Inosuke says, recoiling and walking into the cafe without waiting for Milly. Now, he announces in the cafe: ]}

_{[ He's just standing there at the entry, demanding sandwiches from literally anyone. Looks like it's working, though. Someone behind the deli is making two of them. ]}

[before the original blt man can voice his joy or disdain, milly is out of his lap and pursuing inosuke. is this what living with her is like? just constantly running after someone and cleaning up their messes? it's a little annoying... if one doesn't have a sense of humour about it. what's the worst that this boar boy can do? he's loud and wants to be king-- isn't that what everyone should aspire for?

and there's a little change of heart from her. if no one is really getting hurt, she'll play along. it's easier that way. and maybe she'll get a free meal on her first day, or maybe she'll get a lifetime ban from a decent establishment. both options are worth a story later.]

Can your new boss' assistant for the day get extra fries with her order? Please? [she might be causing a scene with him, but she can still be polite.]

_{[ These poor workers must be Gen Zers cause they don't have much desire to argue back with Inosuke. He takes Milly by the hand (cause it's something she did first) and stands there, up until they ask for payment. That's when he releases her hand and steps forward, stabbing one of his swords into the counter. ]}
