▶ TDM .002
▶ That’s Not a Space Station, It’s a Moon
You awaken amidst the darkness with only a faint light to greet you as you awaken. Your body is hemmed in by shards of crystals, gently sparkling and possibly pricking your skin. The surrounding landscape is dyed in the pinks and purples of the dusk filled with crystals protruding from the ground, some as large as a skyscraper. Even the few shy moon creatures you find in the wild have strange crystal growths on their hides. This is far from home— perhaps a dream? You pinch your skin and slap your cheeks, yet nothing seems to do the trick. Searching for answers yields nothing but an endless expanse of purple dust as far as the eye can see. You have four options: one, panic; two, soil yourself; three, admire it all then soil yourself; or four, go into survival mode. Eventually, you’ll realize that you’re not alone.
After a day or two of living off the crystal wilderness, a group of people find you worse for wear. They are the gallant Moon Knights from the planet of Prismatica. After the strange phenomenon during the third month when scientists observed the sudden appearance of rainbow crystals in the sky, the government has been feverishly combing through the moon for any Moonblessed to be rescued. You’ll eventually be brought into Iris’s moon government center.
You all may have your usual inquiries — Where are we? Who are you? What's going on? Am I paying for all those drugs I took back in the '70s? — and the Prismals are almost too eager to answer. They tell you about their world and about the first appearance of the Moonblessed as the medical staff give you an examination to make sure you’re not carrying any viruses or biological hazards. If you react violently, you may be restrained and nerfed with a specialized neurotransmitting gun that releases a numbing agent through the top of your spine. Once the examinations are over, you’re informed that you will be provided accommodations on their planet during your stay.
While waiting for transport to be prepared, they recommend that you visit the government archives. The collection features a variety of fiction and non-fiction books, including an eclectic romance and erotica section with titles such as: The Moon Knight's Ravishing, Armed and Amorous: A Forbidden Tale between a Dragon and a Moon Knight, and Silk and Satin, Leather and Moonlace. Also notable are informative textbooks such as Delightful Dragons and Where To Do Them and From Argos to Zhavidar: A History of Alchemy. As you read these books, the photos and illustrations come to life on each page, moving within their borders. It seems this is the norm on Prismatica.

Welcome to Prismatica’s hub, Lunatia, the city of your dreams! A bustling metropolis lush with bright lights, vibrant colors, luxuriant plant life, and all the conveniences of technology absent from your own world… It seems like paradise to all the uninitiated.
Before you can enjoy the surrounding shopping centers, they will be dealing with all the standard security checks from some handsy droids that will feel you up, examine your weapons, possibly even cavity search. Nothing like the loving touch of a cool metallic hand.

On Level 1, you may encounter construction workers rebuilding damaged properties. When asked they’ll answer, "Oh, it was just a bit of a mishap a while ago. It's all been contained now. Nothing to worry about." A couple of streets are cracked and covered in debris, as if a huge monster had crawled under the pavement. Surrounding walls have gaping holes, and dried up viscous white fluid stains some buildings.

A ⬤ Several librarian droids like to move in and around the archives, zapping anyone who dares utter a single word above a whisper. Silence is absolutely crucial for study and concentration, thus these droids have zero tolerance for sound. If you are caught making noise, be prepared to be chased and have your eyebrows singed off by a disgruntled droid.
B ⬤ Within the library, you will find an occult section which contains various low-budget spellbooks. This section houses a variety of cantrips and basic charms that don't seem to work for the Moonblessed except the occasional, odd fluke spell which will shrink you to the size of a thumb or cause odd sound effects such as fog horns or pterodactyl screeches to come out of your mouth. Please use with caution! The librarians aren't responsible for any mishaps that occur as a result of reading spells out loud, but if you ask nicely they might direct you to a book that has a way to immediately reverse it if you don’t want to wait it out. All effects are temporary.
Eventually you’re called to the docks and led onto a large transport vessel. Destination: Prismatica.

A ⬤ There’s a gift shop right outside Crystarium Moonports with a huge, eye-catching poster promoting their 80% clearance sale. A must-have souvenir from Lunatia is a memory stone — special blue stones mined from Cordis that can project a happy memory from your days in the city if you rub them the right way. If you need new clothes, this is the perfect chance to grab a shirt with media sweetheart Maria's lovely bedazzled face on it. You might even hear her hit song playing in the store...
While browsing, you overhear a crisp zap! followed by a group of children jumping for joy. They got just the toy they wanted from the high-tech gacha machines lined up in front of the store. Since you have some chroma to spare, why don’t you give them a go? The Mallow Bunnies is all the rage among all Lunatians. Adults are particularly fond of their sleepy series. On the other end of the spectrum, there are also these... uh... what are these? If you can’twhaleget the one you want, don’t worry! You can always trade with your fellow Moonblessed. It might pay off to get some extras, too. You never know when you’ll need to sweeten your deals...
B ⬤ The ads are all over the billboards with their neon colors, energetic beats and seductive billion-polygon assets: you too can be a goddess with a blade in League Match Action Online, Prismatica’s number one VR MOBA game! The next LmaO world championship is later in the year, and the grand prize is rumored to be 15 million demichroma. If you want to get a team together, now’s the perfect time to start. In the meantime, try your luck at the smaller tournaments in the lower Levels. You might meet your future teammates and rivals there.
Or you know, just have fun with it. Relax, it’s just a game!

▶ That Smell is Exactly What You Think It Is
On Level 1, you may encounter construction workers rebuilding damaged properties.
A ⬤ While most of the streets are back to normal, there are several areas that local Swiffy bots have yet to thoroughly clean such as the sewers and the backstreets. If you’re interested in helping, necessary tools and materials will be provided. You may team up with your fellow cohorts to scrub, scrape and sweep the vines’ remains. It is very likely that you will find some decaying roots with a rotting, corpse-like smell that makes your stomach turn. Though these plants have already dried and wilted, there are still a few stubborn vines and dried sap that won’t come off no matter how many times you try. Good thing they let you borrow nifty liquefying rayguns! These guns can turn natural waste into clear, thin and biodegradable slime that rolls off surfaces and into the sewers if not sucked into the vacuums of Lunatia’s trusty Swiffy bots. Careful: the raygun also works on fabrics!
H ⬤ Getting around is another adventure. When you head to the subways, you will be met with the misfortune of train carts stopping abruptly at intervals, making you careen into other passengers. Maybe you’ll accidentally land on someone’s seat or get someone pinned against the wall. The trains aren’t fully functional at the moment due to recent events, so doors might not open and stops might be missed as you circle through the endless track.
Might as well strike up some conversation. The news is seen overhead, detailing the attack of the Vinea vehementi from a few days ago. The reporter warns of increased robbery incidents since the attack. Due to the grief, trauma, and debts accumulated from the damages, some Prismals have resorted to pickpocketing in an attempt to recover their losses. Of much less importance is the uptick in stolen underwear cases in the city after the planet-wide release of the B movie Stalking Panty, in which the main character Knickers gains newfound confidence after discovering his talents as an Iris Moonheld and an undercover panty thief.
Moon Knights and kind neighbors warn you of the dangers, but will that stop you from going out at night? You can start hiding your Midlife Sanguis Ninja Turtle boxers, or you can take justice into your own hands.

Sidon | Breath of the Wild
A.
[Zap! Sidon watched as he knelt down and waited for whatever kind of toy he was going to get, overly curious of course. He had witnessed the other children running around and jumping for joy at such a machine, and he had asked them how to give it a go himself.
Sidon then saw what popped out, holding it in his palm and stared down at the item.]
My...! [The prince would then turn to whoever was walking by the store, now holding up the black sleepy time version of these bunnies, all while tilting his head curiously.]
I say, may I ask you a question? It will take but just a moment! [Why yes, that was his booming and overly loud voice.]
I overheard talk of these, ah, Mallow Bunnies as it were, and I understand some are a rare commodity! Do you by chance know if this is one of those overly rare ones?
▶ Smells??
B.
[The trains certainly were interesting and of course Sidon just had to give them a go. What he found right away that it was such a tight squeeze trying to make his way inside of one of the train cars, his height and size causing him to have to duck the entire time.
When the train suddenly stopped he found himself being brought forward, his hands flying out and stopping his fall. Unfortunately, he seemed to have pinned someone to one of the walls inside the train. Kabedon?! Absolutely. He looked down at the person in question he was now, apparently, pinning.]
This blasted machine, I am terribly sorry! [Sidon moved his hands away so he was no longer trapping them.]
I must have given you quite the fright there, that certainly wasn't my intention. I'm no thief, which I understand is a concern since there apparently have been incidents of such lately. Have you heard the stories?
C.
[Speaking of thieves, Sidon is certainly not worried as he wanders the streets at night, simply taking in all the sights of the vast colors and wonders of the new place he has been brought to. Admittedly he wasn't paying much attention, since he was staring up at one of the neon signs, and he soon felt a tug on his belt. He looked down and noticed that his silver sword had been unstrapped and was now missing. Oh, bother, he needed that.
Sidon immediately turned and noticed someone dashing away with his weapon and he soon gave chase! Of course with Sidon's loud voice anyone would be able to hear just what was going on.]
Stop right there! If you do not give that back then I will have to use force!!! Someone, stop that man for me!
▶ Wild Card!
[Gimme an option that isn't here and whatever you'd like!!!]

The thief loses balance, but she isn't done, plunging the blade of the spear down in a crush to the side of his head— and her gaze sharply piercing down at the Prismal. ]
Oi, fish-man. Take your weapon and get a Moon Knight here.
[ ... and hells, she thinks the Prismal just wet themselves. ]
... and a mop.
gotta love them phone tags
Once Sidon was beside the two of them he simply looked down at the thief and then back to Megumi. He would then give her a rather big smile, his sharp teeth clearly shown as he talked.]
Ah! Many thanks, truly! Without you I would have had a lengthy chase on my hands.
[He bent down to pick up his silver sword, now strapping it to his belt yet again. Once he was upright and heard her comment about the Moon Knights he simply shook his head.]
No need to call one, we'll take our slippery friend here right to them.
[Sidon moved towards the thief, urging Megumi to move her spear, and he then gripped the man by the collar. He hoisted him up, picking him up easily with one hand, and he now looked to her.]
I shall accompany him to the proper authorities. Care to join me in case he manages to try and escape? [...All the while the Prisma was just feeling dizzy from Megumi's attacks.]
knock them on their back* thanks phone
By Menphina, she could -literally- have a feast with this creature. Too bad he seems to be a sentient fish... though, looking him over, he's. Delicious. In more ways than one, but she slowly draws her spear back until it retracts with a sharp sound, and she sets it on her back once it's a more- manageable size.
The Prismal seems to be more terrified of this, though. ]
Aye. I'll come with. But I don't know if you want... never mind.
[ And she folds her arms. ]
... think you're a bit too tall to see theft like that coming, you know.
dw i knew what you meant
C) lemme know if this is good
Or at least Glitch tried when he heard a voice yelling about a thief. There's a quirk of his brow as he slowly pulls his nose away from his book and just see's some guy charging his way carrying a sword.
Hm, well, okay. Interesting. Now he could not get involved and let this guy go...or he could trip him and take the sword himself.
Yeah, he'll go the second. He steps aside and sticks his leg out just as the guy gets close to him and the sound of a man screaming and crashing noises accompany it. The sword rattling to the ground. He'll just step on over to it now and pick it up giving it a once over.]
IT'S GREAT
You there, young one! I say, that was some quick thinking! I applaud you!
[Once sidon was all caught up and by the other boy he just grinned down to him, nodding.]
It's a mighty fine sword, yes? Zora craft and something I would never leave home without. Now then- [He held out his hand.] care to hand it over once you are done admiring it?

The dude was huge...
and some kind of red fish. He's even bigger when they're finally in front of Glitch. The boy is just craning his head up to get a good look at them.
Oh, and now he was holding his hand out expecting it back.
Glitch just stares at it, then back at the fish man, than back at the hand....and back at the fish man.
And he slowly tucks it into his belt. ]
It's mine now. Finders keepers and stuff like that. [ After all, he could sell this for a nice buck. ]

Though this one was a lot bigger. And had his arms against the wall, keeping her trapped underneath him. At least Mipha just... knocked her over a bit.
Still, there wasn't anything to worry about. But then he's talking and she's trying to figure out which thread of conversation to respond to first...]
It's alright. I've... well, I've had worse situations happen to me before. As for the thefts, I did hear a little about that.
[ Though how prevalent they actually were remained to be seen. She certainly hasn't come across anyone trying to steal from her yet. ]
no subject
Worse situations? What sort of scenarios are we talking about? [Yes, the thieves!]
Indeed! One must be wary, who knows when someone will strike!
no subject
Honestly, I would rather not talk about it. It's nothing that happened here, though.
[ Even if she had wanted to talk more about what had happened, she'd have to explain almost everything that happened. That'd take way too long.]
As for the thieves, I'll be careful and on guard.

Huh.
Oh, he should move. Sidon pulled away from the wall and just grabbed for a nearby pole on the train, still ducking thanks to his massive size.]
It really is! To think it has become such a craze here all of a sudden. You must be careful, young one, you never know what could happen!
[He paused before he tilted his head.] Have we met? I cannot shake the feeling that you are... familiar, somehow.

Quite literally. She quickly rushes back in to put on a pair of shoes and then jumps out of her balcony and down to the ground. Glyphs help her so she doesn't just crash, but right behind the thief rather quickly, using a Glyph to make her kick in his back a lot more forceful. ]
Take this!

Aha! [Sidon called out as he caught up to the two of them, swiftly moving to bend over and to grab his sword. He strapped it back to his belt as he walked over to the pair.]
Splendid! Thank you kindly! Without your assistance I would have had to chase him from here to goddesses knows where! That was a fantastic strike there, young one! Truly inspirational!
[Oh, the thief groaned, now trying to stand, and Sidon just walked over to him and promptly placed his foot on his back, causing the man to wheeze and now staying in place.]

Plus, it sounded like something was missing that was more value than normal undergarments, so it seemed important. As the thief and Sidon run his way, Riou is only briefly distracted by the fact that there seems to be some kind of shark-like man running at him. It ertainly looks more like a predator chasing prey, but he can also clearly see the stolen item in the man's hand.
AS the man attempts to run past him, Riou puts his arm out right at throat-height, not even flinching as the man runs straight into it, feet up and falling to his back on the ground in a few seconds. He's not getting up any time soon. Riou's attention is now fully on the approaching giant. It's not often someone makes him feel short. It's also not often he sees a manshark though so he isn't quite sure how to react other than stare for a moment here... ]

Ah! Many thanks, my friend! I don't know what I would have done if this thief had run away with my sword!

C. how many people will save sidon's sword
But not all that is wicked takes the shape of a goblin.
He hears the cry for help (as does everyone within a one-mile radius, most likely), turning in its direction to see the large red fishman a short distance away, yelling after a blatant thief who is putting distance between them as quickly as possible. He considers his options - a man called for help, it isn't as if he's going to not render aid.
The trouble is how.
Were it a goblin there would be no issue, as he's armed with numerous means of killing them in an instant. He has his throwing knife and sword, both which could be used at distance, but it is not his place to be the executioner of a petty thief. No, he should attempt to bring him in alive.
The shield will do.
He slides his shield off of his forearm to hold it by its edge - it's small and round, so while this might not be its intended purpose it will still get the job done. Rearing his arm back he hurls the disc in an arc, sailing over the heads of the innocent passersby, even as the thief seems to vanish into the crowd ahead. Goblin Slayer's shield, too, soon drops out of sight.
There's a loud clunk that can still be heard even over the neighborhood's din, followed by a thump and two clattering noises; that tells him that his throw was true and that the thief had fallen, dropping the stolen sword as the shield that struck him bounced onto the ground.
Goblin Slayer's pace is unhurried as he walks in the direction of the thief, speaking briefly to the fishman in passing. ]
He would not have stopped.
a billion and he will thank every last one
After it had hit the intended target Sidon of course grinned.]
Splendid my friend! You are a true warrior! Now, come, it's not over yet, we must grab him!
[There was a brief moment where Sidon touched the Goblin Slayer's arm, over his armor, before he took off again, urging people aside.]
I say, make way, that man must be handed over to the proper guards!
