Kurama rounds the youkai six up for training as a part of his "lol I'll bring you six fighters with power over 100,000" plan, while the power struggle is still mounting. His canonpoint is from after that part, so they'd still have seen each other and everything, it's fine!

ok ok, phew, ha! not that that necessarily makes things less complicated haha. I'm having fun with the "haha how do I treat you, awkward non-frenemies banter harhar" bit with Kuwabara and Hiei, but with Kurama... I think there's likely more depth, but we don't really see a lot of that time they spent together, just tiny bits. But it's implied they would have spent quite a bit of time together training. What do you think it was like? Could you imagine any headcanon theoretically like what their dynamic/opinions of each other are like, for us moving forward? We never get to see them interact one-on-one but surely they did. So far I'm just running with the line that Shishi respects Kurama as a fighter and that's like, the only thing that can earn his respect anyway, and even if he resented being roped into shit at first, he's grateful for the experience because he leveled up so much, so there's not quite a debt or an alliance there but, you know, a Feeling. Plus Kurama is so mild-mannered (even if he and Genkai brutalized them lol) that I imagine Shishi'd probably have been comparatively more amicable toward Kurama than the others at times... like. Shishi's gonna get on Kurama's level before he gets on Chuu's level, yknow what I'm saying lol?
