You awaken amidst the darkness with only a faint light to greet you. Your body is hemmed in by shards of crystals, gently sparkling and possibly pricking your skin. The surrounding landscape is dyed in the pinks and purples of the dusk filled with crystals protruding from the ground, some as large as a skyscraper. Even the few shy moon creatures you find in the wild have strange crystal growths on their hides. This is far from home— perhaps a dream? You pinch your skin and slap your cheeks, yet nothing seems to do the trick. Searching for answers yields nothing but an endless expanse of purple dust as far as the eye can see. You have four options: one, panic; two, soil yourself; three, admire it all then soil yourself; or four, go into survival mode. Eventually, you’ll realize that you’re not alone.

Iris Moon, Government Center (Arrival) and Planet Prismatica, City of Lunatia | top
After a day or two of living off the crystal wilderness, a group of people find you worse for wear. They are the gallant Moon Knights from the planet of Prismatica. After the strange phenomenon during the past months when scientists observed the sudden appearance of rainbow crystals in the sky, the government has been feverishly combing through the moon for more Moonblessed to be rescued. You’ll eventually be brought into Iris’s moon government center.
You all may have your usual inquiries — Where are we? Who are you? What's going on? Why did I think drinking alcohol made in a bathtub was a good idea? — and the Prismals are almost too eager to answer. They tell you about their world and about the first appearance of the Moonblessed as the medical staff give you an examination to make sure you’re not carrying any viruses or biological hazards. If you react violently, you may be restrained and nerfed with a specialized neurotransmitting gun that releases a numbing agent through the top of your spine. Once the examinations are over, you’re informed that you will be provided accommodations on their planet during your stay.
While waiting for transport to be prepared, you may freely roam around the government center. Eventually you’re called back from exploring, escorted to the docks, and led onto a large transport vessel. Destination: Prismatica.
Welcome to Prismatica’s hub, Lunatia, the city of your dreams! A bustling metropolis lush with bright lights, vibrant colors, luxuriant plant life, and all the conveniences of technology absent from your own world… It seems like paradise to all the uninitiated. After a quick tour of the city, new arrivals can find themselves getting cozy in their new homes.

Level 2, Greatmoon Groves | top
The whole city receives an invitation to watch a once-in-a-lifetime outdoor play in Level 2’s Greatmoon Groves. It will be performed by the renowned traveling fox thespians from Amegahara.
It’s been a whole month since these fox envoys came to Lunatia. The Amegahara foxes ended up staying in the city longer than expected because of the fiasco last Vulpus Astra. Aside from needing to smooth things out with the Lunatian government, they also need to regain enough chroma to travel back home.
The locals aside, wanting to make up for their carelessness from the past month, they’ve primarily put together this play while keeping in mind the Moonblessed who were most affected. Though the Conclave of Amegahara and the Oracles of the Sinless are not affiliated, the Amegahara foxes regardless wish to apologize for the wrongdoings of the Sinless because they’re still their kin.
They hope everyone can move past it. Eager to show the real beauty of their culture, they encourage all to attend and bear witness to a truly tantalizing feast for the eyes. All Moonblessed will receive VIP seating and special service. The play does not start until the evening, but don’t worry, there’s more entertainment prepared around the groves!

Level 1, Lunar Scientia Headquarters | top
It’s almost time for the Conclave of Amegahara to return home and they will be taking the Oracles of the Sinless with them. Though, it seems they’re not the only ones heading out. As part of the ongoing efforts to bridge relations between all cultures, any willing Moonblessed will be invited at the end of the month to travel together to Amegahara, the Oasis in the Nothing, to give them a chance to learn more about this world. It’s also a volunteer experiment to see how their special moonlacing will affect their dead environment.
It’s said that the Amegaharans developed their own culture and technology independently from the Prismals of Lunatia, as their lands are separated by a large ecological wasteland created by the Calamity—dead lands which they call the Nothing. In order to traverse this dangerous territory, appropriate equipment developed by the Amegaharans will have to be used given that the Nothing is inhospitable and impossible to breathe inside of.
And so, to make sure nothing goes wrong, a proper testing and training session in Level 1’s Lunar Scientia Headquarters will be underway before the big trip. The Amegahara foxes warn that the current calibrations are for their kind, so it will likely be incompatible with the Moonblessed at the moment. Part of the test procedures is to find the right configurations, so brace yourselves.
As always, please take note of all glitches and errors and report them to your nearest Lunar Scientia employee!

A bustling metropolis lush with bright lights, vibrant colors, luxuriant plant life, and all the conveniences of technology absent from your own world… It seems like paradise to all the uninitiated. After a quick tour of the city, new arrivals can find themselves getting cozy in their new homes.
A. Find new roommates and say hello to your neighbors! City officials will give you directions to the designated districts across Level 2 and instruct you to pick out a unit. Each apartment complex has a different aesthetic, some may look cozy, some stylish, and some bizarre. The free accommodations have a basic living space that can only fit two or three people at most in one unit.
Starter Chromaspace furnishings are provided which can be controlled with the touch of a built-in panel. Examples are color-changing curtains, transforming sofa beds, cabinets turning into tables, etc. Customizing your apartment or moving out will have to wait until you earn more chroma. Until then, why don’t you check out your new neighborhood or explore the city levels? Maybe your new roommates or neighbors can give you a “hand” with allowance for dinner.
B. All apartments have been officially upgraded with special mirrors in the master bedroom that allow you to modify your features using a chroma-powered side panel. You can change your hair color, clothes, add animal parts, and even reduce or augment any feature of your body. Play around with it and see how you look! Sometimes, the mirrors will glitch and give you access to another person’s mirror, letting you see inside their apartment and catch them unawares. To their (your?) horror, you can hear them as well as they can hear you. Hopefully, you’re not caught doing something you shouldn’t be!

A. Trending online is the Tree of Knots, a large tree with low-hanging branches covered in thick ribbons of various colors. It's such a hit with the locals that there are long lines for those who want to take Prismagram-worthy selfies.
The Amegahara foxes will explain that knots are sacred to their kind as they represent deep passion and eternal bonding. Participants are encouraged to work in pairs to loop a ribbon around a branch and then pull either end to ring around the tree. The bigger the knot, the better! Once a knot is secured, the two Moonblessed may find themselves, well… stuck together. Their hands will lace, and they will not be able to pull free for an hour. Enjoy the quality time spent with a friend and/or stranger… Hope you don’t have to go to the bathroom any time soon!
B. Cozy up with your fellow Moonblessed at the comfortable VIP seats facing the stage. Plates of delicious food and drink will float around to serve you until the show is over!
Under the moonlight, the play tells the tale of the Queen of Loch Drasta. The aloof and sheltered queen is seduced by a winsome village maiden named Peirene, only able to meet her when the night is upon them.
Special effects spellcasters make illusions of stars that encircle the audience, their bright glow emitting a comforting warmth that may lull audience members into a peaceful trance that lasts well after the show has ended. Those affected may find themselves feeling intoxicated. Strange — they haven’t even had a single drop of liquor! They’ll be prone to feats of reckless abandon or be charged by feelings of either elation, desire, or happiness. Possibly all of the above!

A. L.I.F.E. or simply “LIFE” is a special form-fitting full body suit and helmet that are capable of providing ample chroma to keep the wearer alive through the most hazardous environments, such as toxic air.
One of malfunctions may potentially cause suffocation by squeezing the wearer’s bodies too tight. Another is that it might drain chroma instead of providing any. Stay with someone nearby to help you strip and moonlace with!
B. Another piece of technology available for testing is the aerial mecha suits called GIGA, which require at least two to three people to pilot one. Similar to LIFE, the suits also have a few noticeable glitches. Sometimes, the flight function stops completely, making it impossible to hover more than a few feet off the air. Other times, the emergency function suddenly ejects pilots straight into the ground. A neural cord that is supposed to affix itself to the pilots’ central nervous systems has also been coming out from the bottom of the seat instead of linking to the back of the pilots’ neck as designed, making for a particular uncomfortable seated experience.
As always, please take note of all glitches and errors and report them to your nearest Lunar Scientia employee!

it's totally fine, take your time!!!
She nods. She's not the only one who is strong amongst her colleagues, and some are stronger than others. At least their regeneration is all but the same.]
Yes, I guess it just comes with what our duties are, to assist a country and its people. So, extra gifts. Such resilience means I can battle freely, which somehow has become quite important here. Although I'm not sure if one would call those enviable. I can't make things appear out of thin air, or control sound. [She's guessing that's one of his unique gifts.
Meanwhile, while he looks at her with interest, she doesn't quite suspect whatever reason it may be for, other than the fact that he seems to be interested in knowledge of other forms in general. Also, guess it's neatly smacked right in the middle when it comes to how fast she heals, and how difficult. Which one can probably suspect by how she winces at his question.]
I can feel pain. Whatever may happen to me, losing limbs, near-fatal attacks [Fatal, back home], I will regrow and heal in due time. But it doesn't mean it won't hurt. Naturally, it means my colleagues and I would avoid it as much as possible. You have magic, no? Do you have healers? [Or even healing power?]
no subject
[ It's an unbelievably tempting thing. He only has to snap his fingers once, and he could see it play out in real time, the exact sort of regeneration she's describing... He has to lace his fingers together to suppress the temptation. He doesn't need it. And his promise stands. He's sure the Captain would tell him that there's no exceptions, even for someone who can't be killed. "Pain is pain"... or some such thing.
He notices the slight grimace on her face, and his own mouth twitches slightly. ]
There's certainly magic in my world — of course, since I'm a magician, it's fundamental for me to have that kind of power. But while it has its practical uses, I don't have any skill in healing.
... When you say "our", you're talking about other non-humans like yourself, I presume. Are you all like a symbol or a figurehead to your country? Some primal beasts serve a similar purpose, aligning themselves with people or their islands. It's the closest approximation I can think of.
Though, even a primal beast can die.
no subject
I wouldn't want you to endure it. [She's not sure if he's saying he's simulating this for him to hear, or for him to experience it himself.] Even if it's something that always ends.
[She nods firmly, trying to understand his power and skills, of his own world. While she has met many and grown close to them, it's not like she knows that he is of that world yet.]
I see, so it depends entirely, you have your own talents, and you excel in them.
[She can tell, by how proud he is for his powers. As for his question--]
Yes, a few of them are also here, we were brought in greater numbers. In a way, we are. How to say, we are like the spirits of a country when it forms an identity. Primal beasts...I have heard that term be used to describe us before, if you are from the same world as those I have met. Land guardian, another.
[She tilts her head, tapping her lip.] I'm not sure about how I am in this world, but back home, I cannot die. We are immortals, as long as our country has an identity.
[And so suffering through the pain of death is usually not something they wish on anyone else.]
no subject
Lobelia's eyes narrow, his smile fixed as she speaks. She'd want to spare him from experiencing death... Maybe this is her attempt at compassion, but there's still something a little funny to him in the way she says that.
All the while, during this friendly conversation, his body is in persistent, euphoric throes, brought to an agonising end, over and over; obliterated, crushed, broken, crunching away inside his nerves and in his ears in a symphony of absolute destruction, every cell in his body sings for release. He can feel his heart pound faster when he focuses on his own distant, tormented screams, like a river bubbling away peacefully underneath Vietnam's thoughtful words. He breathes in a deep, slow breath, re-positioning himself, shifting his feet against the floor. ]
Ah... To survive even death, and not appreciate the sound of one's own final moments... it's almost a waste, isn't it? Maybe I feel sorry for you as much as I envy you. Thanks to The Tower, I seem to have the better deal.
[ There are plenty enough limitations to make it less desirable than it initially seems. ]
I have one more question.
If you're here, what's happening to your country at home without you? Is your own continued existence proof of their prosperity?
If everyone in your country were destroyed, would your body reflect that too?
no subject
Also, Lobelia, sit down. While she already can average how long it would take her to regenerate (such as something like his kind of crushing would mean she needs a few days to regrow everything), it's not something she thinks needs to be shared when it seems rather peaceful. Besides, he didn't ask.
Yet, all his inquiries really seem to revolve around mortality.]
What is...the Tower? [At the moment, she hasn't made the connection that this Tower is related to tarot, and thinks of it as a place. But, that fascination on death.] Having experienced it around me, I know that eventually, we're left alone. [Her approach to it is a mental one, only because it's what they had dealt with for so long. That humans in her world themselves say: don't get too close to a country. You may go mad.
Himaruya I thought this was a gag manga.]Anyway, ask away. [And so she listens.] In a way, yes. The fact that I am here and have my gifts, it means I have some connection even now. I do not know how or why, but that I just do. But if everyone in my country is destroyed. [She narrows her eyes. Part of her wanted to say that she wouldn't let it happen at all.] I don't know what would happen. But I have been in wars, and from personal experience, it has not marked my body. [But she can't say the same for some of her colleagues.]
no subject
Her query snaps him from his idling thoughts. ]
Ah, of course. You wouldn't have a reason to know about The Tower. [ He deliberates, briefly.] ... But since you've told me so much about yourself... Let me show you something precious, as well.
[ With slow, delicate movements, Lobelia reveals a card from within his baggy sleeve, presenting it to Vietnam — although she wouldn't get a chance to look at it for too long. A sudden surging glow engulfs the room Lobelia is in, and when it fades, a large machine-like structure stands in front of the mirror, obscuring him behind its considerable mass. It must be around 8 feet tall, and it bends slightly to keep itself from smashing through the ceiling. Plumes of glowing steam escape from its whirring insides, a pale blue light eminating from within like an unnatural, ghostly furnace.
As it stands there, its helmet-like head cants down slowly, staring directly at Vietnam with its huge fists clenched.
Lobelia's affection filters through in his warm, fond voice. ]
I am The Tower's pactbearer; as such, our fates are intertwined indefinitely.
... By the way, please keep his existence quiet. We like a low profile, you see. I don't tend to show him off to many people, so you're quite fortunate.
no subject
After all, he called her information precious. And then he thought it a fair trade to show what is precious to him. That kind of honesty is what many would consider pure.
So she gives him her full attention as he reveals to her the card. She never noticed it before, and only now, she catches only a bit of it, that it was a card with intricate artwork, like a tarot. But then in a flash, it stands before the mirror, so big that it was all she could see. It was so noisy, that she could only just hear Lobelia.]
This is the Tower? [She recognises the name from tarot cards, but this here a literally tower-shaped robot! She tilts her head up, thinking that if she could do so any more she would be able to see his full form.]
I-it's nice to meet you too? [She's speechless, so that is what happens when it's her first instinct. Lobelia sounds so found, that this being is like a best friend, someone he holds completely dear.]
Oh, I will keep his existence quiet, if you are to trust me with such information. I promise. [She pats her chest, then lifts a finger to mirror a pinky promise gesture. Not that they could, through this mirror.] He's...rather incredible, no? [What on earth are these two?]
no subject
However... as long as he only shows what Tower is, and not what Tower does, then there's nothing to tie him to anything that might happen in the future. Keeping a low profile, demonstrating good judgement in what he says and doesn't say... these are things he has plenty of experience with. It should be fine.
He laughs at Vietnam's polite greeting. ]
The Tower doesn't usually respond with words, but I can assure you that the feeling is mutual. You're the first person he's met from a new world.
[ A world he didn't specifically have ambitions to destroy. Lobelia had been curious to see his reaction to such a thing, as well, and thus far he seems quite still. It's a curious sight, and he spends as much time looking at The Tower's tense form as he does Vietnam's expression. The ultimate destroyer in front of an immortal... it's very thrilling, in a way. What would he do, if he found something that couldn't be killed? ]
Oui! Incredible is a good way to put it! The Tower isn't the only one of his kind, but he's unique even amongst them. I'm glad that even someone from another world can appreciate that... You have good insight, don't you, Vietnam?
Well... I want him to get back to his work, so I'll withdraw him for now. He's starting to fog the room up a bit.
[ And with a snap, Lobelia whisks The Tower away again, back into the card. It's just him again, sitting there with his placid little smile. ]
... And now we're friends.
no subject
In the end, the Tower is still something--someone, truly precious to him. He's shown her as a sign of trust, that she's someone new he's met too.]
The first person, then it is an honour. Your friend [Lobelia] believes so, the Tower! You're the first I have ever met, like this.
[She tells him this, even as Lobelia explains to her how he's not alone in being what he is. Unique amongst his kind, and she can hear the deep affection Lobelia has for the Tower. So she smiles and starts to wave as Lobelia starts to summon him back.]
Goodbye, the Tower! I'm not sure if I have great insight, but I know I just met someone amazing. [She beams, as the fog clears up and he's sitting there again. Her attention draws back to him.]
We share your secret now, so...I think we are. [She presses her hand to the mirror, since it's not like they can shake.] Let's get to know each other more, no?
