Already on the right floor~

( Yes and you know what helps sugar crashes the next day? A good lil breakfast. So she's on her way with tea and something ridiculously bougie like avocado toast.

Knock knock. Delivery! )

[Get his fucking paranoia ringing with that "I know where you live" bs.

Hi, Ange. Get 6ft1 of an angry and green who isn't the hulk at the door.]

I said ya didn't have ta.
cadeuces: (how can it be?)

( Mams you literally dropped her a location pin and told her to bring groceries and taught her how to make fried rice at your place like a month ago, she has good reason to know where u live and now she abuses it for your sake!!

But don't be angry; she's looking up at him even as she holds out a peace offering to-go cup of chamomile tea, still withholding the clear clamshell container with breakfast. )

Can't I take a fraction of responsibility? We were both guilty and neither of us stopped the other; besides, it's just tea and something easy on your stomach. Help balance you back out until you're back on your feet to burn off the rest.

[Which means that he should have kept his tactic to move places every other week. People knowing where he lived is a bad idea.

... except not, it's not like people here know about the bounty on his head, BUT.

He steps aside to let her in.]

How aren't you crawling on the floor, though? I think I've shortened my lifespan by 10 years.

[Not that it really matters considering his... lifestyle....]
cadeuces: ('cause I'm jus about to set fire)

( Perhaps that is so, but of all the people to have a bead on his location, is Angela really worth worrying over? She's as vanilla and transparent as they come. The only time she's any good at lying is telling a dying soldier they're going to be all right, softened by the easy truth of an I've got you. She can hold her tongue and protect someone's identity with the best of them, but lying? No, she'd make a poor attempt.

But he moves to let her in despite the imposing demeanor as broad shoulders fill the doorway, and she'll take it so he has the chance to close the door behind her, helping herself to his living room to set things down and see that his windows are opened for some fresh air. At least she doesn't have to worry about the sunlight giving him a headache, right?

Then she finds a delicate perch on the corner of a couch cushion and waits for him to join her before offering up the tea again. It's chamomile and lemon, Mams; let it cleanse your palate, soothe your stomach, and. You know. Make your pancreas and kidneys work to flush the rest. )

Ah... The nanites in my system help my body filter most everything I put into it. Which isn't as wonderful when it comes time to medicate anything, as the downside.

Fucking cheaters. [A snort. People with their tech and their magic.

Though he's actually not that bitter about it as he makes himself sound. The act merely makes people underestimate him.

It's not a you thing, Ange. It's a mere matter of statistics.

After all, he knows the betrayals best because he's the one to do them.

Closing the door, he pads over to a place next to her on the couch, takes the tea.]
You're not having anything, then?

I promise it wasn't willful. If I could commiserate with you, I would.

( She knows it wasn't meant as much more than a bit of playfulness in his own brand; she's getting rather used to what that looks like. In case he hasn't noticed, these 8 months in, she enjoys her time spent with him well enough.

Promise she won't be offended at the caution. She'll just do her best to never let him down. Which, for now, means feeding him avocado toast when he's ready for the concept of food and helping him through their wholesome night filled with too many milkshakes. )

I brought breakfast for myself as well. It's just avocado toast for the both of us, whenever you're ready for it.

( Not that she really needs to display the extra caution when he's well aware of her by now, but she lifts a hand and pauses to give him a chance to dodge before trying to press it between his shoulderblades for a little rub along his spine. Maybe a touch of moonlacing will help settle him further with some healing chroma. )
