▶ TDM .011
You awaken amidst the darkness with only a faint light to greet you. Your body is hemmed in by shards of crystals, gently sparkling and possibly pricking your skin. The surrounding landscape is dyed in the pinks and purples of the dusk filled with crystals protruding from the ground, some as large as a skyscraper. After an hour or two of wandering through the crystal wilderness, a group of people find you worse for wear. They are the gallant Moon Knights from the planet of Prismatica. Because of the strange phenomena during the past months when scientists observed the sudden appearance of rainbow crystals in the sky, the government has been feverishly combing through the moon for more Moonblessed to be rescued. You’ll eventually be brought into Iris’s moon government center.
You all may have your usual inquiries — Where are we? Who are you? What's going on? — and the Prismals are almost too eager to answer. They tell you about their world and about the first appearance of the Moonblessed as the medical staff give you an examination to make sure you’re not carrying any viruses or biological hazards. If you react violently, you may be restrained and nerfed with a specialized neurotransmitting gun that releases a numbing agent through the top of your spine. Once the examinations are over, you’re informed that you will be provided accommodations on their planet during your stay. You will then be escorted to the docks, and led onto a large transport vessel that makes frequent trips back and forth between the Iris moon and the planet. Faces onboard vary from both old and new Moonblessed as well as the local Prismals.
The next destination: Prismatica.

Iris Moon, Government Center (Arrival) and Planet Prismatica, City of Lunatia | top
Welcome to Prismatica’s hub, Lunatia, the city of your dreams! A bustling metropolis lush with bright lights, vibrant colors, luxuriant plant life, and all the conveniences of technology absent from your own world… It seems like paradise to all the uninitiated. After a quick tour of the city, new arrivals can find themselves getting cozy in their new homes.

▶ God Save Us from the Queen
Level 1, PrismaPlace and Level 2, Greatmoon Groves | top
The first month of the year is packed with two of the most important winter events this season: Queen Elara’s birthday and the League Match Action Online (LmaO) PVP semi-finals. It just so happens that the Queen of Lunatia is also a huge LmaO fan. Coincidence? Definitely not! LmaO players and royal family fans alike can meet her at PrismaPlace, where she will be appearing in cosplay of her favorite hero, Ah-Kari, while holding a body pillow of Commander GareBear. You, too, can get an autograph or selfie with the birthday girl if you’re willing to fall in line! Her bodyguards will also be in LmaO cosplay, keeping the crowd under control during the long wait.
Queen Elara
Good day to you all! This may come as a surprise to our guests the Moonblessed, but I am a normal person despite my exalted position. Please do not think of me today as Queen Elara. Instead... my name is Ah-Kari, sorceress of the crystal! With my soul fan blades, through the darkness, I shall slice all who dare hurt my commander in twain!
But when she is not meeting and greeting...
... she will be furiously grinding her character and training her skills in LmaO in the hopes of qualifying for the finals. Spectators will see her bring her own team full of hapless palace attendants who are there to either serve as her practice match partners or provide support to the one-woman army that is Queen Elara.
PrismaPlace is packed with giant crowds, many of them also in cosplay. While the semi-finals are taking place, new and old LmaO players alike can participate in the game’s current campaign: players who form teams get an improved chance of spawning unique monsters as well as winning rare items and skins in those prized lootboxes! Teams can also try to clear the event’s story together, featuring an aerial battle fought on griffin-back, which is heavily inspired by the popular Lunatian epic, The Battle of Abraxas, a colorful and complex story about the conflict between two families fighting over the fictional land of griffins, Abraxas.

Level 3, Caihong | top
Meanwhile, Caihong is in the midst of Remooning festivities in celebration of the new year, and merriment usually lasts a fortnight, filled with fireworks in the sky. Upon entering the district, beautiful Prismals with rat ears and tails greet you with a Happy Remooning and eagerly tug you along to join in.
Those welcomed will receive a pack of multi-colored sparklers, mooncakes topped with cheese, and a glowing drink called Champagne Supernova, poured in a thin glass in your hand. If you are over eighteen, the rat Prismals will ask if you prefer your drink with a kick. If you say yes, then they will add flavorful ice that causes extreme intoxication and might leave you to be susceptible to all levels of suggestion. Saying no (or if you’re under 18) will simply leave it as a sweet drink.

A Settle in your new home at Level 2 to find new roommates and say hello to your neighbors! City officials will give you directions to the designated districts across Level 2 and instruct you to pick out a unit. Each apartment complex has a different aesthetic, some may look cozy, some stylish, and some bizarre. The free accommodations have a basic living space that can only fit two or three people at most in one unit.
Starter Chromaspace furnishings are provided which can be controlled with the touch of a built-in panel. Examples are color-changing curtains, transforming sofa beds, cabinets turning into tables, etc. Customizing your apartment or moving out will have to wait until you earn more chroma. Until then, why don’t you check out your new neighborhood or explore the city levels? Maybe your new roommates or neighbors can give you a “hand” with allowance for dinner.
B As a Remooning gift from the Lunar Scientia Headquarters, the dedicated team from the Amphoria Room has released their latest perfected technology: Amphoria Pods. These VR Pods, which can fit up to four people at a time, have been set up in the gaming hub within Level 1’s PrismaPlace. They allow users to upload sceneries of their world in order to create a realistic holographic landscape of their homes that others can access and play around with, granting everyone the means to relive past memories with their loved ones as well as interact with the bestiary of other worlds. The pods also use the same technology that enhanced the popular virtual game, League Match Action Online (LmaO), which means you’re liable to feel the chill of cold environments, the burning heat from boiling water, the hard slap of your ex-lover, or the biting sting of a stray wasp. All who use the Amphoria Pods for the first time this year will also receive a small amount of Chroma in case things get too real.

My comrades, we're going to make history today. We're going for a new record. Perhaps the highest kill counts or the fastest clear for this map — it matters not. We’ve practiced day and night for this tournament, so let us show everyone that we’re not to be taken lightly! Also, the livestream is going in the royal archive, so make your successors proud!!

A Progression in the event requires acquiring a griffin mount and getting it ready for battle. You can lure a wild one to yourself with a special veggie pie on a fishing pole. Should the griffin reject the lure, your character will be caught in a wind gaol and can only break out with the help of other players. Should you succeed, raising the griffin is a tedious task that involves players training alongside their respective griffins, running laps with them, taking them to hunt monsters, and feeding them properly. Depending on their diet, the food you give them will affect the color of its plumage and their battle stats.
Or you can skip the hard work and simply moonlace with your teammates through all the progression bars and required materials to save time. Once finished, you’ll be able to battle one another through the thunderous aerial domain of Abraxas. Clearing the event will net you an event-exclusive skin inspired by the royal family’s shining celestial robes and a weapon skin of a body pillow with your favorite character, so do your best!
B In celebration of Queen Elara’s birthday, the office of the royal household is hosting a modest tea party in the Greatmoon Groves. Swiffy bots that are normally programmed to remind visitors to keep the groves clean are now playing a birthday jingle on repeat. For people who prefer to be away from the blinding neon lights and the thumping techno music of PrismaPlace, this is the ideal escape. Unlimited tea and cookies are being served!
The tea is a soft-colored lilac concoction made from Ehrysian tea leaves that are known to cause a huge spike of alertness and is popular to Moon Knights and office workers with long night shifts as well as gamers for those all-night grinding sessions. The assorted cookies have either Ah-Kari or Commander GareBear printed on them. In case it isn't obvious yet, both are the birthday girl’s favorite LmaO characters.
Any Moonblessed looking for extra income is welcome to be royal attendants for the day; the hours are paid by Demichroma. They must be properly dressed up as maids or butlers (outfits provided by the royal household) as they serve tables.

Saying no (or if you’re under 18) will simply leave it as a sweet drink.
A One of the party games being played by the locals is called Lucky Tail, which is basically pinning the tail on the holographic rat stand-in — with a twist, it must be played with a partner! Another participant will blindfold you, spin you around, then push you forward. The stand-in is located at the end of unsteady elevated platforms forming a maze, filled to the brim with distracting objects underneath. They’re long, they’re thick, and they’re vibrating furiously in an attempt to knock you off the platforms.
Your partner must guide you by voice to successfully navigate through the maze! The game is rigged with various mechanisms, so stepping on specific platforms will activate a number of traps against you or your partner: machines that may tickle, drop colorful slime, or cause the platform to repetitively spin, and who knows what else?
Should you manage to get through the obstacle course and pin the tail successfully, you and your partner will win copious amounts of Demichroma, courtesy of Buwan from Buwan’s Stop.
B Another attraction is a fun magic glamour booth known for its face or body swap features. The booth staff, clad in their festive rat paraphernalia, will encourage you and your friends to take aesthetic shots using an illusion generator. The effects last an hour. Photographed images can be instantly uploaded and shared in Prismagram. New year, new you! Why not take the chance to celebrate this momentous occasion in a unique fashion? It’s all in good humor.
There are two buttons to press: (A) CUSTOM or (B) RANDOM. Pressing A will allow participants to customize their desired effects. Pressing B will cause the illusion magic to randomly rearrange participants in questionable positions, new outfits (or lack thereof), and you may even come out of the booth looking like your best friend or your worst rival. The possibilities are endless!

Waver Velvet | Fate/Zero | Cordis
It's been a hell of a day.
The city is overwhelming: bright, flashy lights in all colors, music, ads, videos, people(?) of all shapes and sizes and species with and without fur or scales or other, stranger appendages and skins. After the dim, grimy streets and sour-smelling alleys of the Down back in Duplicity, it's a lot to adjust to.
Waver stares down at the phone-like communication device he's been given, the directions laid out for him by one of the people who'd been on the ship (the space ship. that sure happened) and who had been guiding newcomers to where they could find living quarters. Choose the apartment you like best! they'd said. There are too many choices.
say cheese.
[ When Waver had said he wouldn't mind the champagne to have 'a bit of a kick,' as offered, he actually hadn't expected the kick to be quite so... potent.
One way or another, with plenty of overly-spiked champagne in his poor lightweight system and his inhibitions and better judgement utterly shot, Waver finds himself blindfolded and holding a fake rat tail aloft. He staggers, a little dizzy from being spun around, and tries to reorient himself... only to end up facing in completely wrong direction. ]
Hey! [ Waver calls to his partner, loudly. ] Am I going the right-- Waah?!
[ Why is the platform moving?! Waver spreads both arms out for balance, waving them around in utterly graceless panic.
Aah! Which way should I go?!
(( ooc: prose or brackets are both fine; I'll match you!
if you want to hash out any details or have other ideas for prompts, feel free to PM me!! smut is cool, just lmk if that's what you wanna go for. also, as a heads up, Waver is a CRAU from Duplicity. this is a truly wild change for him lmao... ))
there and back 2
[Luffy is sitting on the kitchen counter, eating a slice of cake, when the door opened.
He stretches his hand to wave at Waver. It’s ridiculously long considering he can reach the boy.]
Hi! Are you gonna be my new roommate?
no subject
No, I didn't realize this room was... occupied...
[ He trails off, distracted. Staring.
Hey, bud?? Your arm ok??? ]
no subject
It is, but we have room! You end up getting partners here anywhere.
(no subject)
Hello fellow Cordis. .. also there and back again A
There are but whether or not anyone sees anything after looking at that for a while is another thing.
[She is so ready to walk away from that sight, he can follow if he wants to get away from there too.]
hello! the moon for tsuns i guess?? :')
At least it breaks his horrified and yet mesmerized staring. Waver jogs after her. ]
Wait! Can you show me? I'm supposed to be browsing empty flats around this area, but I'd really rather not live in that.
It'd be great to have more company there and tsun life is the best :D
Telling Rin to wait doesn't change anything because Rin doesn't take orders from anyone and that's what it sounds like. If that would be all he said, maybe she'd pretend like he said wait, please since he did say please earlier...
But since that's not all he says, Rin stops and stays there. She even turns to look at him now.]
Okay, I'll show where you can find at least something else than that... Do you prefer cozy or stylish?
[Bizarre is out of the list since he already ran into one of those.]

Take a moment and get your balance. The platform is just vibrating but you're okay. When you've got it turn to your left and head that way.
[He knows to keep calm in situations like this. People who can't see (and are boozed to hell and back) can panic easily by not knowing what is going on. No point in freaking the guy out.
Alright and he might think he's pretty cute too. There's that.]
You good to start walking?
no subject
[ Waver stops flailing around, with some effort, and focuses on taking a couple deep breaths and feeling out how the platform is moving. It's not too bad, just startling. It doesn't affect his balance too much... yet.
After a few moments, he turns to the left as instructed and starts taking small, tentative steps forward. ]
no subject
[Though honestly he figures that they should worry about the guy tripping over thin air than any of the traps in the maze if he's to be honest. Ah well. Shit all he can do about that now.]
There's gonna be a wall in front of you. Make sure you've got your hands in front of you so you don't smack yourself into it.
[Because leading the blind into a wall? Not a good way to win points with a stranger. Especially when the stranger is the blind one.]

There and Back 2!
Hey, don't worry about it! It must be that time again, then-- you're new here, right? I always see new moonblessed wandering the halls around this time of month.
aahhh hello!!
[ Waver's eyes follow the motion of the ears for a moment before he tears his gaze away to meet the stranger's eyes. He sure did just barge in here. Clearly someone's home, now that he actually gets a look. Waver sighs, cheeks burning pink. ]
Yeah. Guessed it in one...
I didn't mean to just walk into your flat like that. Does it really happen that often?
no subject
[How often does he forget?? Truly a mystery.]
Ah, unless you mean people showing up here -- that happens every month or so. Need any help getting settled? I know this place can be a lot to deal with for new arrivals!

"That's how it goes. I don't know why they planned it like that, but it's been working fine. Though sometimes you can accidentally wander into someone else's apartment..."

there and back again a
Unfortunately, it doesn't get much better. Caihong has better aesthetics, at the very least, and you can customize your own room, but I'd invest in sunglasses.
[MIGHT AS WELL LET THE NEW KID DOWN GENTLY...]
no subject
[ That's not a very encouraging answer. Sunglasses?!
Waver sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose tiredly. ]
Where's that?
no subject
It's not really a living area, though, at least in my experience.
THERE AND BACK AGAIN (B)
Relaxing on the couch which threatened to cave under his immense size the King of Conqueror's noted the creaking sound of the front door opening. Unsheathing his illustrious sword of Kupriotes the brute of a man cautiously approached the assailant in question who chose to enter his domain without welcome.
Turning the corner with sword raised high in the air as he let out a terrifying roar only to become stuck in place, petrified if you will when his eyes meet the intruder in questions. Jaw slack, Iskandar immediately lowered his sword approaching his young master slowly.]
By Zeus himself it cannot be...Boy!?!
[Sheathing sword promptly to close whatever distance was left betwixt them the tyrant ruler flicked his young master in the forehead to make sure he was not simply dreaming.]
no subject
Waver peeks inside, letting the door creak open slowly to reveal a seemingly empty apartment. He takes a cautious step or two past the doorway-- only to be greeted by a sudden shout and a flash of steel instinctively recognized just out of the corner of his eye as a sword. Waver acts automatically, stumbling backward to try to dodge with a much less impressive shout of his own, while at the very same time in that split-second beginning to register who is actually holding the weapon. Whose voice that was.
Waver catches himself on the doorframe, still stumbling from his awkward backwards momentum now coupled with shock that nearly makes his knees give out. ]
Ri-- ow?!
[ He smacks a hand over his forehead to shield it, staring up at Iskandar with the strangest wide-eyed mixture of amazement, relief, shock and indignation. Good thing he's already leaning against something. He's about ready to sit right down on the floor. ]
no subject
When the boy does not simply vanish into thin air and reacts as expected of him, Iskandar's grin widens from ear to ear before quickly snatching up his small retainer, hoisting Waver into the air in a tight bear hug.]
It is truly you after all, boy! By all the Gods I never thought to see you in this lifetime or the next!
[A thunderous burst of laughter erupting from his chest and rumbling against his smaller companion, slowly letting Waver loose, feet returning to the earth.]
Though I did not wish for this I am glad to see you alive and well my young master.

say cheese-ish!
He may bump into him once the whole ordeal is over, however, once Waver and his partner have parted ways. Gilgamesh looks... Well, still very disinterested. But the fact that he's here at all means that can't all be true.]
You're making quite the spectacle for someone who only recently arrived. [He is Judging, like a disappointed parent. But upon closer inspection, he can already tell that this person is different, not unlike how the brunette girl was different.] ...But I suppose it is forgivable.
[At least it's not a Servant getting embarrassingly drunk right after showing up. Kids are allowed to make questionable decisions like these, after all.]
aaaa!!
Well. Suffice to say he has no intention of partaking in mysterious space alcohol again anytime soon.
Gilgamesh will find him after his unfortunate attempts at pin the tail on the rat (or, rather, after he's managed to extricate himself from the ridiculous game he doesn't even remember agreeing to play), where Waver has stumbled out of the crowd as much as he can manage, ducking into a smaller street in the hopes that it'll be quieter. It is. Enough, at least.
The voice that cuts through the background noise of the crowds outside nearly sobers Waver outright. His head snaps up, palm pressing against the stone wall behind him to shove off of it suddenly and face the approaching figure straight-backed and tense. Any relaxing effects the alcohol might have had vanish at once; his heart is in his throat, and his feet are frozen to the street. Waver opens his mouth, suddenly dry. ]
...Archer.
he is here to ruin (read: mildly inconvenience) his night :')
Yes, I suppose you may call me that. [Technically, he had never been called that—or more like, he hadn't been called that yet, as he was not yet a Servant, but he didn't mind it.] If it really matters, I'm more of a Caster now, but I'm still every bit the Archer I always was.
[That's not even a little reassuring?? The arrogance probably doesn't help.]
You are right to tremble in my presence, but I'm not interested in whatever War you've tangled yourself up in, if that's what you're concerned about.
being mildly inconvenienced is basically waver's entire life so why should that change here!
right? anything else would just feel wrong!
