You awaken amidst the darkness with only a faint light to greet you. Your body is hemmed in by shards of crystals, gently sparkling and possibly pricking your skin. The surrounding landscape is dyed in the pinks and purples of the dusk filled with crystals protruding from the ground, some as large as a skyscraper. After an hour or two of wandering through the crystal wilderness, a group of people find you worse for wear. They are the gallant Moon Knights from the planet of Prismatica. Because of the strange phenomena during the past months when scientists observed the sudden appearance of rainbow crystals in the sky, the government has been feverishly combing through the moon for more Moonblessed to be rescued. You’ll eventually be brought into Iris’s moon government center.

You all may have your usual inquiries — Where are we? Who are you? What's going on? — and the Prismals are almost too eager to answer. They tell you about their world and about the first appearance of the Moonblessed as the medical staff give you an examination to make sure you’re not carrying any viruses or biological hazards. If you react violently, you may be restrained and nerfed with a specialized neurotransmitting gun that releases a numbing agent through the top of your spine. Once the examinations are over, you’re informed that you will be provided accommodations on their planet during your stay. You will then be escorted to the docks, and led onto a large transport vessel that makes frequent trips back and forth between the Iris moon and the planet. Faces onboard vary from both old and new Moonblessed as well as the local Prismals.

Welcome to Prismatica’s hub, Lunatia, the city of your dreams! A bustling metropolis lush with bright lights, vibrant colors, luxuriant plant life, and all the conveniences of technology absent from your own world… It seems like paradise to all the uninitiated. After a quick tour of the city, new arrivals can find themselves getting cozy in their new homes.

A Settle in your new home at Level 2 to find new roommates and say hello to your neighbors! City officials will give you directions to the designated districts across Level 2 and instruct you to pick out a unit. Each apartment complex has a different aesthetic, some may look cozy, some stylish, and some bizarre. The free accommodations have a basic living space that can only fit two or three people at most in one unit.

Starter Chromaspace furnishings are provided which can be controlled with the touch of a built-in panel. Examples are color-changing curtains, transforming sofa beds, cabinets turning into tables, etc. Customizing your apartment or moving out will have to wait until you earn more chroma. Until then, why don’t you check out your new neighborhood or explore the city levels? Maybe your new roommates or neighbors can give you a “hand” with allowance for dinner.

Oh my god, they're back again. After taking more than a year-long hiatus, *BTSB (Backstay Sailor Boys) takes the planet by storm once more with their latest single, Anybody (Yeah). With an album out and a concert on the way, the five-man fox Prismal group from Amegahara has been busy with promotions. Their appearances on billboard ads, magazines, TV shows, et cetera make their worldwide handsome faces pretty hard to miss! Everyone and their pet robot in Lunatia can be found jamming to their songs, and every teenager on the street can tell you who their bias is and why.

B Be a part of *BTSB's Prismagram campaign and get a chance to win a physical copy of their album and backstage passes to their upcoming concert! Simply take a picture of you and your friends with official merchandise and post it on Prismagram with the hashtag #WeAreBTSB. Be careful, though: touching *BTSB merchandise tends to make people crush on the first face they see. The posts with the best pictures and stories will get their prizes in the mail on the 24th.

Why would a Moonblessed want to meet them, you ask? Community spirit! A sizable portion of the locals will start singing or dancing with you and your friends! “I want it another way. Tell me why? I never want to hear you say, I wish it wasn't that way. Don't be that way!” Play along and they’ll be willing to pardon your unpaid meal tab for one time or offer an incredible discount for one item you really wanted at the mall. The boys are also considered talented magic users in their own right. They might have some spells and magic tools to add to a Moonblessed's arsenal!

▶ What’s the Deal With This Pop Life?

Before you meet these foxy boys, you'll want to do your research on them. Thankfully, their ridiculously huge fanbase (who refer to themselves as NAVY) has already done the work for you.

Suzaku is the leader and the brains of the group. Both his witty, rapid-fire raps and lightning-fast spinning breakdances are known throughout the planet. He is also a newscaster and likes making informative but interesting Prismagram posts. His brother is also an idol, albeit a washed up one-hit wonder.

Kaya is the group's down-to-earth mom friend and soulful vocals. He is the most responsible of the boys and handles their meals and laundry. A former delinquent in his youth, he now spends his free time cooking for schoolchildren and advocating fox rights. He does not support fox pelt products and owns an animal shelter for strays.

Lecter is a dancer who oozes with sex appeal. If not in the studio, he is always hitting up the gym. Once a member of the Little Moonblessings Club in his childhood, he has grown out of his boy-next-door image. Currently, he is #2 on Prismal Magazine's Top 100 Sexiest Men Alive for his well-built frame and photogenic looks. Contrary to his cool appearance and reserved demeanor, he is surprisingly personable. He is also a prolific actor. He likes cats.

Tarn is the baby of the group who maintains a gaming channel. He often does spontaneous livestreams where he does Let’s Play sessions, live Q&As, and encourages people to make memes of his face. He jokes about playing more LmaO than going to practice but he’s got clear and strong vocals.

Rasha is a narcissistic man who can’t get enough of his fans and himself. When hanging around his fans, he tends to ask if they have a mirror to look at himself with. Don’t let his vanity fool you! He’s funny, incredibly easy to be with, and willing to treat people to drinks. He writes most of the lyrics for the group’s songs.

[Ashe didn't mean to ramble it was just being around Dedue again everything just started spilling out. Something he noticed he did when he got excited over something that happened. Being around Dedue gave him a sense of calm he hasn't felt since he got here that he ended up rambling about everything that's been happening. He was always glad Dedue that didn't mind. His silent, calm presence was something he missed.

Let's see it would be good to take him to one of the many restaurants that were around or he could go home and make dinner like old times.

Ashe knew his answer. ]

We can go back to my place and cook. They have so many cooking utensils we can use here! I can't wait to show you. Follow me, I don't stay too far away from here.

[Ashe gestured for Dedue to follow him.]

Did they tell you about moonblessings?

[Following after him is easy enough. He falls in pace with him rather easily, keeping up without trouble. Then again, given his height that really isn't much of a surprise. Still, Dedue wonders what these new cooking utensils are that Ashe wishes to show him. What could they have come up with?]

I have heard a little.

[Not much. And he's not at all certain how he's supposed to know what blessing he's supposed to have. And it's rather disconcerting to know that some sort of change will wash over him like that.]

[Ashe finally remembered the way to get home without having to use his device. It's become easier to remember the route without getting lost. There are so many things he can't wait to show! There was another way to store food then reheat it again too.

Ashe nodded as he rubbed the back of his neck. That was something about this new place that he hasn't gotten used to yet. He knows that it's something that happens even if he tried his best to get ready for it.]

Well, there are different blessings we all have them and they come around during certain moon cycles. I know that I'm a cordis and when that moon comes around these cat ears and tail come out. I get really hungry, sleepy, and I want to, um, cuddle a lot.

[Ashe's cheek turned pink as he thought about the other emotions that comes around during the cordis moon.]

You'll find out what your blessing will be when that moon comes around. I don't know about the other blessings, but I know that cordis can be very distracting.

[Looking down at Ashe, he catches sight of the flush to his freckled cheeks. For a second, he finds himself mentally pausing. A number of his friends have moments where they are cute. He can say this is one of those moments.

But he'll keep that to himself. He has no desire to embarrass Ashe.]

The other two are Sanguis and Iris.

[If he recalls correctly. Though he's not sure what happens with them. For Cordis though, he's fully making a mental note to always have extra food on hand for any of his companions who happen to fall in that cycle.

If food is what they need then food is what they will have. And whatever else he can provide.]

Yes, those are the other two. I don't know if there are others from home who are Sanguis and Iris, but there are a lot of us who are cordis. Normally, you find out when that particular moon comes around. When the moon leaves life becomes easier again.

[Ashe wondered what happened during those moon cycles. He only hoped that anyone who was going through it had the help they needed.]

I work at the academy Manuela has as a teacher. It's new, but I like showing people how to hold the bow properly and shooting the arrow. I'd like to studying more about cooking here though. Did they tell you which blessing you are?

[Teaching is something that he feels suits Ashe. Dedue looks down at him, some admiration in his eyes. He knows that if he's offered a position he will turn it down though. After all, his duty is to Dimitri for now. He's likely to find something that will keep him closer to him for a time at the very least.]

Have they a way to know what we are?

[He's not sure if he missed that somehow...]

[Ashe smiled up at him before he looked around to make sure they were in the right area. He couldn't help feeling warm from being able to tell Dedue about his job. He didn't think teaching would be for him, but he found that he really enjoyed it. He also like that he could get some extra practice in since he wasn't training as hard.]

They might? I'm not too sure about that I know that when they were telling me everything it was after they gave me a check up. I wish they could to tell you what moon you'll be under. It's not the best surprise to find out how you'll slowly change and get animal parts without warning. They do have clothes if you have a tail so that makes things easier.

[Ashe was glad his hood could hide his ears. It wasn't long before he pointed to his apartment.] A lot of us live there. I'm sure we can find place for you too.

[Ashe walked over to the building and up the stairs to his apartment. He fished his key out of his pocket and turned to him with a sheepish smile.]

Um, it might be a little messy, sorry about that. [He opened the door to clean and tidy apartment with only a few books on the coffee table and a hoodie on the couch.]

Make yourself at home! Let me see what I have in the kitchen. [Ashe walked over to the kitchen when he stopped, walked back over to Dedue, and gave him a quick hug.] I'm glad you're okay.

[Ashe stepped back with a small smile and walked over to his kitchen. He can't believe he did that, but he couldn't hold back his emotions anymore. He was really happy to see Dedue again.]

[He's concerned about the animal parts he will be experiencing but feels that will be a bridge he has to cross when he gets to it. Being worried about it now doesn't seem particularly productive. Especially not when Ashe's spirits are so high. The last thing he wants to do is bring him down.]

I do not mind.

[The "mess" he means. Honestly Ashe could have had a disaster and he wouldn't have minded. This is obviously just fine. Perfectly clean. And he admires the charm of it before being surprised by a hug.

When Ashe walks away, he lifts a hand to touch his chest. Almost like he's feeling the warmth still lingering there. Then he moves to follow after him toward the kitchen.

And pauses in the doorway as he takes in the sight of it all.

Where does he even start?]

[Ashe bustled around the kitchen to help him calm down. He was still happy that he did it. He looked through what he had in the fridge before he closed the door and walked over to the cabinet when he saw Dedue in the doorway.]

I was the same when I first came here too. Look! There are places to keep more spices, more bread, and to reheat food! There's a place to put cold food too. Let's see, I have some leftover chicken pot pie from my dinner last night, but I have enough food here to make something. Did you want hamburgers or dumplings?

[Ashe gave him a reassuring look.] How about we start one at a time? Is there something in the kitchen you want to see first?

[He stares at Ashe looking like an overgrown confused dog. There's all this technology and...

...what is a hamburger?

At a complete loss for words, he finally decides that maybe he'll just point. They can start small while he tries to wrap his head around literally everything that he's looking at.

(Seriously, what is a hamburger?)

He points at the fridge to start with.]

[Forgive him Dedue! In his excitement he forgot that Dedue wouldn't know anything like that. It took Ashe awhile to learn all the new foods and pieces of technology that he could use too. He can explain things now that he's calmed down, though he had to admit it was a very cute look on him. Well, he could think about that later. He'll tell you all about the new foods soon too. He found a very helpful book that provides the picture along with the ingredients and how to cook it.]

Okay, this is called a refrigerator. This keeps food cold and you can keep it much longer. It's pretty big. [Ashe walked over and opened the door.]

See! There's a lot of food you can keep in here. Um, as cordis I try to keep it stocked cause I get very hungry. There's a drawer to keep fruit, a drawer to keep vegetables, and one to keep different drinks too. On the other side there's a freezer, it can keep food frozen for a long time too. [Ashe closed the fridge door then walked over to the other side to open the freezer door.] You can keep meat here, freeze it, then use it for later. You can keep sweet things here too like ice cream then put it back to use for later. Do you have any questions? Here you can look through it, go ahead!

[Ashe stepped back and gestured to the fridge.]

[This box keeps the food cold? Stepping closer, he leans over him to look inside. There's definitely a chill in the air on his face. He has to marvel at the wonder of it, especially when the doors switch and colder hair touches his face.

There's so much food in there. It's almost unbelievable.

A next question... He can only think of one.]

Ice cream?

[Ashe rubbed the back of his neck when Dedue looked inside. He couldn't help stocking it with so much food. It's something about being cordis that makes him so hungry, he liked to make sure it always stayed stocked. He'll cook everything eventually!]

It's this sweet treat made of milk and other ingredients that can be found in the freezers of the markets around here. I picked strawberry it's really good. Wait, let me go get a spoon.

[Ashe walked over to a drawer and grabbed a spoon for him. He walked back over to hand it to him before going to get the strawberry pint of ice cream.] Here you go, you can try it. It can be sweet, but I don't think it's too sweet. If it is, I have other things you can try.

[Dedue gently takes the spoon from him and looks down at the... It's pink. It's a pink substance that is clearly quite cold. He attempts to dip his spoon in and starts when he realizes that it's a good deal harder than the image of it would suggest.

Sorry, Ashe. He's really trying his best here. He's just never faced a foe quite like that of frozen sweet milk.]

[It's okay Dedue! It took awhile for him to get a hang of things and there are still things he has trouble with too. He still doesn't know a lot about using that device except when he needed to get home so he wouldn't be lost. Ashe walked over to the freezer and grabbed the pint of vanilla ice cream he started the other night. He walked over to the drawer to get a spoon and opened the pint.]

Here let me show you. [Ashe waited for awhile, until it was a little soft then stuck his spoon in.] It's a little easier when it's softer.

[There are little tricks to use in this world too.]

[Following him over, he watches Ashe before copying him. Gently placing the spoon on his tongue, his eyes widen. It's...very sweet. Not usually his preference. He has a fondness for rich spices instead. But this is also...]

It's good.

[Ashe waited to see how Dedue would react to it, ready to grab something else if he needed to, he relaxed when he heard his answer. He nodded as he took another scoop from his pint.]

I'm glad you like it. You can keep that one too it's easier to get some more here. When you're finished you can put it back inside the freezer then get it back later. I have some spices if you'd like to check them out. I found a nice container to keep them in too.

[Ashe placed his pint back in the freezer before he walked over to the rack where he kept his spices.] I even found some that wasn't at home. Later on, I can show you where to get them. Feel free to check them out.

[It's very likely he won't take it when he leaves unless Ashe pushes it into his hands on his way out. Largely because Cordis means Ashe needs more food than him. Even with the fact that Dedue is so much larger than him, he fully plans to keep Ashe fed.

Anyway, he nods. He would like to know more about the spices here. If there are ones he's not familiar with then he wants to get to know them as fast as possible so he can adjust recipes accordingly.]

[Standing behind him, he takes advantage of his height to look over Ashe's shoulder at the spices he has in his collection. Plenty he recognizes. Others are definitely new. Those will be the ones he'll have to experiment with, he decides.]
