You awaken amidst the darkness with only a faint light to greet you. Your body is hemmed in by shards of crystals, gently sparkling and possibly pricking your skin. The surrounding landscape is dyed in the pinks and purples of the dusk filled with crystals protruding from the ground, some as large as a skyscraper. After an hour or two of wandering through the crystal wilderness, a group of people find you worse for wear. They are the gallant Moon Knights from the planet of Prismatica. Because of the strange phenomena during the past months when scientists observed the sudden appearance of rainbow crystals in the sky, the government has been feverishly combing through the moon for more Moonblessed to be rescued. You’ll eventually be brought into Iris’s moon government center.

You all may have your usual inquiries — Where are we? Who are you? What's going on? — and the Prismals are almost too eager to answer. They tell you about their world and about the first appearance of the Moonblessed as the medical staff give you an examination to make sure you’re not carrying any viruses or biological hazards. If you react violently, you may be restrained and nerfed with a specialized neurotransmitting gun that releases a numbing agent through the top of your spine. Once the examinations are over, you’re informed that you will be provided accommodations on their planet during your stay. You will then be escorted to the docks, and led onto a large transport vessel that makes frequent trips back and forth between the Iris moon and the planet. Faces onboard vary from both old and new Moonblessed as well as the local Prismals.

Welcome to Prismatica’s hub, Lunatia, the city of your dreams! A bustling metropolis lush with bright lights, vibrant colors, luxuriant plant life, and all the conveniences of technology absent from your own world… It seems like paradise to all the uninitiated. After a quick tour of the city, new arrivals can find themselves getting cozy in their new homes.

A Settle in your new home at Level 2 to find new roommates and say hello to your neighbors! City officials will give you directions to the designated districts across Level 2 and instruct you to pick out a unit. Each apartment complex has a different aesthetic, some may look cozy, some stylish, and some bizarre. The free accommodations have a basic living space that can only fit two or three people at most in one unit.

Starter Chromaspace furnishings are provided which can be controlled with the touch of a built-in panel. Examples are color-changing curtains, transforming sofa beds, cabinets turning into tables, etc. Customizing your apartment or moving out will have to wait until you earn more chroma. Until then, why don’t you check out your new neighborhood or explore the city levels? Maybe your new roommates or neighbors can give you a “hand” with allowance for dinner.

Oh my god, they're back again. After taking more than a year-long hiatus, *BTSB (Backstay Sailor Boys) takes the planet by storm once more with their latest single, Anybody (Yeah). With an album out and a concert on the way, the five-man fox Prismal group from Amegahara has been busy with promotions. Their appearances on billboard ads, magazines, TV shows, et cetera make their worldwide handsome faces pretty hard to miss! Everyone and their pet robot in Lunatia can be found jamming to their songs, and every teenager on the street can tell you who their bias is and why.

B Be a part of *BTSB's Prismagram campaign and get a chance to win a physical copy of their album and backstage passes to their upcoming concert! Simply take a picture of you and your friends with official merchandise and post it on Prismagram with the hashtag #WeAreBTSB. Be careful, though: touching *BTSB merchandise tends to make people crush on the first face they see. The posts with the best pictures and stories will get their prizes in the mail on the 24th.

Why would a Moonblessed want to meet them, you ask? Community spirit! A sizable portion of the locals will start singing or dancing with you and your friends! “I want it another way. Tell me why? I never want to hear you say, I wish it wasn't that way. Don't be that way!” Play along and they’ll be willing to pardon your unpaid meal tab for one time or offer an incredible discount for one item you really wanted at the mall. The boys are also considered talented magic users in their own right. They might have some spells and magic tools to add to a Moonblessed's arsenal!

▶ What’s the Deal With This Pop Life?

Before you meet these foxy boys, you'll want to do your research on them. Thankfully, their ridiculously huge fanbase (who refer to themselves as NAVY) has already done the work for you.

Suzaku is the leader and the brains of the group. Both his witty, rapid-fire raps and lightning-fast spinning breakdances are known throughout the planet. He is also a newscaster and likes making informative but interesting Prismagram posts. His brother is also an idol, albeit a washed up one-hit wonder.

Kaya is the group's down-to-earth mom friend and soulful vocals. He is the most responsible of the boys and handles their meals and laundry. A former delinquent in his youth, he now spends his free time cooking for schoolchildren and advocating fox rights. He does not support fox pelt products and owns an animal shelter for strays.

Lecter is a dancer who oozes with sex appeal. If not in the studio, he is always hitting up the gym. Once a member of the Little Moonblessings Club in his childhood, he has grown out of his boy-next-door image. Currently, he is #2 on Prismal Magazine's Top 100 Sexiest Men Alive for his well-built frame and photogenic looks. Contrary to his cool appearance and reserved demeanor, he is surprisingly personable. He is also a prolific actor. He likes cats.

Tarn is the baby of the group who maintains a gaming channel. He often does spontaneous livestreams where he does Let’s Play sessions, live Q&As, and encourages people to make memes of his face. He jokes about playing more LmaO than going to practice but he’s got clear and strong vocals.

Rasha is a narcissistic man who can’t get enough of his fans and himself. When hanging around his fans, he tends to ask if they have a mirror to look at himself with. Don’t let his vanity fool you! He’s funny, incredibly easy to be with, and willing to treat people to drinks. He writes most of the lyrics for the group’s songs.

C Every hour, you will receive a text from the official *BTSB fanclub with a link to a poll. The texts will not stop unless you answer the poll. Please answer it ICly, as the answers will affect the event later this month!

Upon voting on the poll, you will be redirected to a video and text chatroom where you will be connected to a random stranger who has also answered the poll. Both you and the stranger will then need to answer the following questions:

The Knight of Zero stood out too much. [And Lelouch can imagine what Suzaku had to do in order to blend in. Still, the Knight lets out a breath.] Not that it seems to matter.

Apparently no one here has heard of Britannia, the UFN, or the Black Knights.

[At least the locals that he spoke to seemed to have no clue. He hasn't really dealt with any of the moonblessed, though.]

So you degraded yourself... [ Whatever floats your boat, man. Suzaku, you're a grownass man, you can do whatever you want. 🤷‍♀️ He doesn't tell Suzaku that he's borrowed a locker somewhere and that's where he's keeping Zero's outfit and mask, too. Because as far as he's concerned? ]

And we'll keep it that way. No one here has to know.

[ It'll just be confusing. While Lelouch is devoted to keep lying his way into living, he's also not prepared to handle all sorts of people knowing about Zero and— well, knowing more than he does. He's not fully aware of what Suzaku's reality contains, after all. ]

[Fine, Lelouch, you get that particular jab. Suzaku isn't thrilled, but with limited resources he got along to get along, and got some clothes for cheap for a song and a few dances for Chroma. He'll live.]

As you wish, Your Majesty. [Look, he even gives Lelouch a salute this time, even if his entire body language says all but screams fuck you.]

So what's next?

[ ... Lelouch would wince at that display if he could, but he holds himself still and looks around, instead. He's not sure what else is next, especially after being interrupted from his current mission.

He pulls on his inner shirt from outside his sleeves, adjusting his clothing a little more. Man, Suzaku grips tight. ]

I was going to try and get money for myself. [ He looks back at Suzaku then, a smirk forming on his lips. ] Unless you wanted to help or tag along.

[ Suzaku is bound to say no, at least, Lelouch assumes, so perhaps he'll be left alone and then he can panic by himself... ]

[While Suzaku's first inclination is to reject that offer, he doesn't, instead mulling it over for a bit. After some thought, a smirk starts to appear on his lips.]

You know, I think I'll tag along for a while.

[Because he wants to see how someone so adverse to touch could get some Chroma. He could use the amusement.]

[ One of these days, he's going to STRANGLE Suzaku. You know, once he physically can. ]

Sounds good. [ Totally casual about this, and his tone is light. There's no need to pretend he's Zero now, nor is there any reason for him to. Suzaku seems to know who he is and is open about it, so neither of them aren't pretending... He mentioned he's a (the?) "Knight of Zero", which means Suzaku has deflected, and works with him now. For what? A promise that Lelouch made? Whatever that means...

He'll figure it out later. Suzaku's not very smart, at the very least, Lelouch knows he's more intelligent than the soldier before him, so it shouldn't be that much trouble to get the truth out of him. In any case— ] Don't assume I'm feeding you with the money I make.

[Getting the truth out of Suzaku won't be too hard. They are, for better or worse, on the same side now. It's probably the first time since they've crashed back into each other's lives that they've been honest (mostly) with each other.

Maybe if they had been that way in the beginning, things would've...

No time to dwell on that, though.]

I'll be fine on my own for that. [He starts to head out, but pauses.] Just don't go wasting your Geass.

[ Where in the world does Suzaku get off commanding Lelouch like that? He doesn't even let C.C. speak to him that way. At least, without some sass on his end... He sighs and rolls his eyes before walking ahead of Suzaku. Hmph. He's already let Suzaku shove him into this alley, he'll be the first to get out of here.

At the very least, he isn't as passive aggressive as he would like. He could have brushed his shoulder against Suzaku's on the way out! ]

Now then... [ He doesn't want to seem too suspicious. There are already a lot of people walking past them, but he walks a little further to get away from where they just came from before approaching a native, who looks like a Moonblessed. Lelouch waves them over, his voice sugary sweet as he introduces himself and explains that he's only just arrived. He asks for a handshake for some Chroma, because that's all he's comfortable with at this moment, but the native tells him that she can't produce Chroma, but gives him some Demichroma, nonetheless! It's about 30 Demichroma that he receives, so good for Lelouch? It's her spare change, apparently.

Then she hugs him tight. Lelouch is left with recovering ribs... ]

... That was rough.

[He's the Knight of Zero, he can do what he wants! And what he wants is watch Lelouch when he's out of his element. He watches the exchange go down, and does little to hide his amusement when Lelouch returns.]

Looked like she took a liking to you, though.

[But before Suzaku can continue, he's interrupted by a local who notices his shirt. When she's about to go on about what a huge fan of Suzaku (the idol) she is, he interrupts her to inform her that the two share the same name. She lets out a laugh (and Suzaku is thankful that it wasn't another high pitched squeal) and asks for a selfie with a real-life Suzaku! He agrees, because he can still muster up the ability to be personable when he doesn't want to punch someone in the face, and smiles for a couple of pictures. She thanks him, and while she can't offer any Chroma, she does offer that she knows the owner of a nearby restaurant (who is also a huge Suzaku fan), and that if he stops by, he can probably get a free drink or two! Which, hey, its something.

After the woman leaves, Suzaku takes a breath, then looks at Lelouch and shrugs.]

Hmph.

[ Well, that girl isn't the only one. Lelouch has always been the most popular boy in school since he started in Ashford Academy... It's not necessarily something he considers a boon. With Milly's antics, it's always been something of a disadvantage... (And he's sure to think this even more whenever he experiences Milly's Love Attack...)

He's frustrated when it seems that Suzaku's one-upped him, though. He grits his teeth as he frowns at his classmate. And, for the first time in his entire life, he considers using his good looks and his powerful charisma to get back at Suzaku. This is all clearly out of spite and not because he needs money anymore. ]

Hey, excuse me— [ He calls out to a group of passersby. They're probably the equivalent of human teens, judging by the tone of their voices and how they all seem to start whispering and smiling giddily when Lelouch approaches them. He doesn't look back at Suzaku while they converse. Lelouch mentions something about being new and not having much money to spend on at this time. The girls actually invite him to come eat with them, which surprises Lelouch at the generous gesture. One of them even goes so far as to hug his arm already, but he points to Suzaku who's a few feet away, and whispers something about how he can't leave his shy friend alone... He might have a heart attack if he's with a lot of girls, followed by a wink.

(Lelouch wants the ground to eat them alive.)

It what spurs the girls who start squealing, though. Lelouch puts on a rather satisfied smile when they start offering him more Demichroma, and he hasn't even resorted to begging. One of them even gives him some coupons to use at a nearby coffee shop— oh, now this, he'll actually take advantage of in the near future! He does love his tea. The girls tell him good luck, and even give a little wave at Suzaku before they squeal again and run away.

That sure was something. ]

[It was something, to the point that when its all over, Suzaku makes a questioning hand gesture, as if to ask what the hell was that? But before he can really question, he hears a bunch of high-pitched screaming. He immediately drops into fight-or-flight mode, but that turns out to be unnecessary.

Its not an attack, but a group of what would be college-aged girls rush over to him. They want to know if he's that Suzaku, a question that clearly takes him off guard.]

Yeah, I-- I mean, I'm not this Suzaku [the BTSB one] But my name is Suzaku.

[They're delighted, and so excited to meet him, which is just outright puzzling to him, until they point out that he's apparently beginning to trend on the Prismagram. They show him pictures of him from earlier in the day, including that selfie from mere moments ago, and even a short video of him learning one of the BTSB dance routines, all shared for the world to see.

Internally, he's mortified, but he manages to keep a smile on his face somehow.

They all want pictures with him, and for a moment he isn't sure how to respond. But when he looks at Lelouch, he has an idea.]

You know, my friend here is an excellent photographer. If you girls can help us out with a little bit of Chroma, he'll happily take a few pictures of us.

Right Lelouch?

[ Ah... now Suzaku is the one getting mobbed. Not a big deal. And when the idea comes, something akin to a request, Lelouch happily accepts. It's just taking photos, isn't it? What harm is there?

He could take really awful pictures. Obscure Suzaku's face with his thumb, or something. Either way, the photo shoot is going to be half-assed, care of the photographer. ]

Sure. Can I borrow your phone? [ One of the girls fish out her phone to give to Lelouch. It's his first time fiddling with a device that's not from Earth, but he manages to find the camera easily enough. Wow— touch screens sure are convenient! The camera looks great too.

They all go to Suzaku's side now, two girls holding onto each of Suzaku's arms as they start whispering about Lelouch. "Doesn't he look like Lulu from EX-OLife?" aaaand that's something Lelouch will pretend not to hear. He's busy trying to find an angle that will make Suzaku look terrible. Ah— there, the sun is shining a little more on Suzaku's face.

Good. Click! ]

There. All done, or should we go for another pose?

[They don't want to take up too much of Lelouch and Suzaku's time, but as they hand over the Demichroma, Suzaku is compelled to ask...]

EX-OLife?

[The girls giggle, surprised that he's never heard of it, but Suzaku admits that he's new. They promise to shoot him a link soon so he can check it out, and head along on their way. As they leave, Suzaku looks over at Lelouch.]

The people here are surprisingly friendly...

[But...?]

[ The money they've made is good enough for maybe a few days of food... Lelouch knows he'll have to buy some new clothes, because he's sure he'll be here for more than a day. . . Or maybe he can just do the laundry in whatever apartment he'll claim for himself.

In any case, now that the girls seem to be gone and the two of them are left to their own privacy again, Lelouch fixes his collar and clears his throat. ]

You certainly had no trouble blending in.

[ He's still reeling from the ghastly role he had to do. ]

It reminds me of our time in Ashford, in a way.

[Y'know, back before they wanted to murder each other. And even while they wanted to murder each other at times, too.]

[ They're happy memories tucked deep inside Lelouch's heart. Memories of the past, and of the future that Suzaku's likely already experienced, all must have been fun. These aren't things he deserves anymore, but he'll accept them as things to look back at.

This one? Not really something he'd classify as something similar to his memories in Ashford. ]

I'd have much preferred being behind the scenes.

[ As per usual. ]

[There's a scoff.] You'd be miserable if you were anything less than the star of the show.

[From Zero to the Emperor, Lelouch was the single most overly-dramatic, grandiose motherfucker the world had ever witnessed, and he needed to make sure the whole world had witnessed him.]

I've seen you practicing your victory speeches, you know. [And speaking of] You should go with the third one, the other two just make you sound like a villain out of a cartoon.

[ He didn't ask for your opinion, Suzaku! ]

Like you would know how to craft a speech... [ Though the words are more to himself than Suzaku. ] So, how much did you make?

[ ... As much as he doesn't want to look so greedy by counting the Demichroma they amassed, he needs to figure out how many days worth of money he has. Suzaku counting his would be a good segue for him to count his own, too. ]

[Titles aside, they're on equal footing now; he'll offer his opinion when he damn well pleases. That's the kind of honesty they have these days.

And speaking of honest, Suzaku does an inventory into the amount of Chroma and Demichroma he has.]

I have.... 270 Demichroma, along with some coupons and gift cards. It should be enough to get me through the next few days. And even a change of clothes. [And he'll just... not discuss Chroma right now.] What about you?

[ If he were more expressive, he would have started cackling by now. Fortunately for both of them, Lelouch only manages a jovial chuckle upon seeing how much Chroma and Demichroma he has. Chroma, he has none— not really a wonder or anything, it's more of an obvious matter, if one knew Lelouch well. As for Demichroma... ]

280 Demichroma.

[ There isn't an unannounced contest or anything, and for all Lelouch knows, he's the only one aware of the competition, but he doesn't give a shit. ]

That should be enough for a few days, yes... If we were to eat fast food. [ Which at this point, he doesn't mind. Like he'd want to eat gourmet alien food, anyway. ] That's more than fine.

[There's the smallest twitch of an eyebrow. No, this isn't a competition, but its still kind of annoys him that Lelouch got more Demichroma. At least his.... emperor isn't being insufferably smug about it (out loud, anyway, his face feels insufferably smug and punchable, though).

Still, after months of politely eating whatever Miss Cecile offers him, Suzaku has a stomach made of steel. Lelouch, though...]

You're okay with cheap... alien food? [Just saying that feels so absurd, and yet....]

That is always an option. You don't think Rivalz has made me eat a double cheeseburger more than once? [ Though he only maybe had a bite or two. Lelouch doesn't eat much to begin with... look at his noodle body. ] But I may just resort to cooking my own food.

[ He won't go out, and no one will bother him! It works out in the end... for him, anyway. He's never been bad in the kitchen, either. Whatever he'll be eating will be 100% up to his standards, for sure. ]

[Suzaku makes a thoughtful noise.] I may have to find an excuse to visit you.

[Not that he really needs one. Still, cooking is one of the few areas Suzaku doesn't mind when Lelouch is so ruthlessly calculating.]

[ Lelouch would prefer to not tell Suzaku where his apartment is, but they're supposed to be... what, allies, now? Maybe he'll find another apartment to hide away on his own, and only use his apartment now if he's expecting visitors. That certainly makes more sense to him.

But that means two apartments to furnish, and twice the expenses in some cases... Like 270 Demichroma would be enough for that at this time. What a pain. What's even more of a pain is Suzaku right now. ]

You're expecting me to cook for you?

Not at all. But most recipes require you to make two servings. [He won't mention the fact that Nunnally isn't around o join him, she's a complicated subject for the two of them, and Suzaku isn't that much of a dick.] It'd be a travesty if you had to waste food.
